They also get to know the teachers of different classes. During our orientation, the parents got an insight to the curriculum, pattern of conducting examinations, the extracurricular activities and events planned, the support required from parents etc. The Orientation Programme was organized for Primary on 13th June and for Pre-primary on 27th June, 2015. All the teachers work continuously to tap the hidden talents of children and then work towards accomplishing those talents. We at Unicent, are constantly working to develop strong and vibrant personalities. Children are given ample opportunities to improve upon their Self Discipline, Self regard, Self assessment, Self introspection, Self observation, Self reliance, Self responsibility, Self initiative and Self confidence. Wishing you all a very successful year. Best wishes, V.V. Seshu WELCOME ASSEMBLY: We had a special assembly organized to welcome our students on the first day of school after the vacations. The campus was beautifully decorated to greet the students; we had a special prayer and some enthusiastic programmes hosted by teachers for the children on this day. We could see happy smiling faces enter the school and it was a ray of hope to students that they will love coming to school from this day.

The ability to connect and interact with students has become increasingly difficult for today's teachers who have to often overcome a large generation gap. Not

only do they have to instruct their pupils about concepts identified years after their own education, they also have to keep themselves aware of the recent upgrades and technology updates. With this changing situation, it has become important to provide our teachers with necessary training to become more effective in imparting knowledge.

We had an orientation programme for teachers on: Upgraded classroom management techniques

Using child –friendly teaching aids

Using technology in terms of software & electronics Latest Project Ideas

Stress management & maintaining emotional balance

Bonding techniques between teacher & student Imparting the right kind of Continuous Comprehensive Education. (CCE)

“ Teacher – a source of love and inspirationA great teacher can change your life”

Teachers Day was celebrated with full zeal and enthusiasm. The day started with giving a tribute to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. The day had an emotional and recreational touch. We have set up several clubs like Literary, Science, Sports, Math, Env i ronment , F ine Art s , Cultural, and Heritage for

children. These clubs provide opportunities for our young students to participate in activities, interact with peers in a supervised setting, and form relationships with adults. Some clubs focus on a specific area, thus allowing members to develop their skills and interests in that area. Other clubs provide an array of activities from which children can choose.

ENVIRONMENTAL CLUB:World Environment Day was celebrated on June 5th and is probably the most celebrated of all the environmental awareness days, and it is a day to acknowledge the achievements made to protect the environment. Together as a Family of Unicent we took an oath to build a cleaner, greener world for ourselves and future generations.

LITERARY CLUB: Literary club gives students the chance to share and explore new ideas. The aim of the club is to inculcate among the students a fondness for language and enhance their Literary skills.

This event brought awareness among the children about traditional customs while enjoying the pranks of Lord Krishna. Fun and frolic marked the presentation as fabulous cultural programs enthralled us. The students also took part in the traditional activity – 'Matki Phod' in order to give tribute to Natkhat Kanha.

The club provides a platform for: Debating, Speech & Drama, Journalism.

To encourage students to become orators, to promote communication skills, to present ideas creatively and artistically. Literary club students will work together in close connection.

Science Club : IMAGINE , EXPLORE , CREATE

A science club offers children the chance to do science-related activities that extend and enhance the science they experience in the classroom. Science club uses the opportunity to explore areas of science not covered by the curriculum and to give the club members plenty of opportunities to do practical science.

HERITAGE CLUB: Valuing the history, our legacy or heritage is an important aspect of learning and led us to creating the Heritage Club of our school. Making history fun and an experience is the goal with which we forge ahead each day and strive to come up with a variety of planned and hands – on activities. The members of our Heritage club look forward to listening to interesting stories and narratives, undertake researches, dramat ize the i r f ind ings , make presentations, discuss the effects of the past events and explore themselves in capturing moments, making movies thus getting enthused to be an active participant of this club.

MATH CLUB: Mathematics Club holds the potential for increasing student opportunity to learn and enrich their mathematical experiences in ways that are free from curriculum and assessment driven teaching practices.

The objective of our School's Math Club is to stimulate childrens’ mathematical curiosity. Hopefully, experiencing the wonders of Math will result in a positive attitude towards the subject that will serve them well throughout their formal education and beyond.

ROBOTICS: We are glad to inform that, our school has tied-up with EDUKINECT, a premier partner of Microsoft to conduct Robotics classes in the school for the students of Classes IV to VI on 6 working Saturdays. These activity classes are designed keeping in mind the overall development of the child and giving him/her a chance to implement his or her knowledge of logic, science, mathematics and art. These activities also help in building qualities like team work, logical thinking, competitiveness, and value of time, leadership, public speaking and many more.

The role of the school bus driver in ensuring the safe transportation of children to and from school and school-related activities is as important as any other link in the school transportation safety chain. The safety record of school bus transportation is a testament to school bus drivers and the rest of the school transportation industry.
