his family’s joy and pain, hands down wisdom
to his children, and
offers them firm
guidance and love.
~Pope Francis
ST. JOSEPH PATRON SAINT OF ALL FATHERS
If a person cannot find anyone to teach him how to pray, let him take this glorious saint for his guide, and he will
not lose his way.” —St. Teresa of Avila referring to St. Joseph
St. Joseph, husband of Mary and earthly father of Jesus,is the model of fatherhood. His faith and obedience toGod inspired his devotion for his family. As we prepare tocelebrate Father's Day today on Sunday, June 17, itmight be helpful to study his example. In "Five Lessonsfrom St. Joseph," author Randy Hain points out attributesthat serve as a helpful guide.
St. Joseph was obedient. St. Joseph was selfless. St. Joseph led by example. St. Joseph was a worker. St. Joseph was a leader.
"Let’s look to the inspiring example of St. Joseph, patronsaint of fathers, workers and the Universal Church for hisobedience, humility, selflessness, courage and the lovehe showed to Mary and Jesus. If we can emulate St. Jo-seph even a little each day, we will be that much closer tobecoming the men we are called to be," Hain wrote. Thesignificance of St. Joseph's presence in Jesus' life re-minds us how important fathers are in our lives

Our parish website has a new look. We have migratedour website to a new provider, eCatholic, the web host-ing company officially endorsed and sponsored by theDiocese of Paterson. We made this change for severalreasons:

Support is excellent and provided by a companythat specializes in Catholic-centered products
The new platform will provide access to expandedMedia, such as video
eCatholic is the web platform recommended by theDiocese
Note that the former content on the website is still avail-able, and you will be able to find it in the places you'realready familiar with. Since this is part of a Diocesaninitiative, the update was done at no charge to St. Jude.

Be a part of Fr. Jhon’s
“SOCCER BALLS FOR JOY!”As the Soccer World Cup in Russia is coming near,We are invited to share the joy of the game with othersand give back!
As Christians we have a social responsibility with the least in our society, especially with thekids. Children around the world love soccer more than any other sport. Yet many children inpoverty have never played with a real toy or an actual soccer ball. Sometimes a soccer ball ismore than just a ball. Sometimes, it is a lifesaver.
Since the Soccer World Cup in Brazil 2014, Fr. JhonMadrid has been leading a campaign, called
“Soccer Balls for Joy.”The idea of this campaign is to collect
soccer balls for children in poverty. In the past four years more than 2,000 soccer balls
have been collected and children in Uganda, Kenya,Philippines, Colombia, Bolivia, Mexico, Honduras
and Guatemala have been the joyful recipientsof this campaign!
Let us pass the joy by donating a Soccer Ball for a poor kidsomewhere in the world!
