Our Festival opens with the gorgeous Sleeping Beauty Suite-a favorite of both dance and Disney fans. His Piano Concerto No. 3, a real crowd-pleaser, will be performed by BPO favorite Fabio Bidini. The Symphony No. 5, possibly his best-known, expresses his feelings of ultimate victory through strife.

This program includes Serenade for Strings and Tchaikovsky’s only work for cello and orchestra, Rococo Variations, performed by Mark Kosower, principal cellist of the Cleveland Orchestra. Both are fun to play and joyous to hear. The festival ends with the iconic 1812 Overture, performed as you rarely hear it-with the Buffalo Philharmonic Chorus.
