GENERATIONS OF FAITH CAMPAIGN We are thankful for all pledge payments we are receiving to the Generations of Faith Campaign. We also strongly advise that you send your contributions directly to “Generations of Faith” to be rec-orded faster. FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK WORLD YOUTH DAY 2016 This weekend July 9-10, 2016, the Second Collection will be the final opportunity to help our young adults going to WYD this summer. Thank you all so much for your support and generosity. Our group together with all the Diocesan delegations will be at Douglaston for a special mass and blessing with Bishop Dimarzio on July 17, a week before our departure. SUMMER SUGGESTIONS We hope that you will have an opportunity to enjoy some time to rest during these summer months. Please consider the following: 1. When you go on vacation, don’t forget to go to Mass. Of-ten it is a wonderful experience to visit a new church. Don’t take a vacation from God. 2. Always dress appropriately, not less clothing but lighter clothing. Please remember that you are in the presence of the Lord. 3. Please remember your weekly support to your parish while on vacation. Often times, people think that it is only necessary to make an offering when they attend their parish services and if they don’t attend these services, they do not have to make an offering. Your parish always depends on your generosity.

ADULT SACRAMENTS-RCIA ARE OPEN The RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is a pro-cess of prayer, reflection, and leadership that allows for the continual discernment of God’s will in our lives. Candidates for RCIA includes: 1. Non-baptized adults who wish to enter the Catholic

Church; 2. Baptized adult Christians of another denomination who

wish to continue their Christian faith in the Catholic Church;

3. Adult baptized Catholics who have not yet completed the Sacraments of Initiation (Communion, Confirmation) and wish to do so.

YOUTH GROUP It is a pleasure to inform you that, thanks to the work of the Youth Group, coordinated by Ms. Angelica Taveras. The Youth Group has been congratulated of the Diocese because collected the most voter registrations on June 11-12, 2016. We also thank all who completed the voter forms on that weekend. Well done!

SUGERENCIAS PARA EL VERANO Confiamos en que ustedes tendrán la oportunidad de descansar y disfrutar durante los meses de verano. Por favor tome en con-sideración lo siguiente: 1. Cuando usted sale de vacaciones, no olvide asistir a Misa. La mayoría de ocasiones es una experiencia hermosa conocer otras Iglesias. No tomen vacaciones de Dios. 2. Vista siempre adecuadamente, con ropa liviana, no con po-ca ropa. Recuerde que está en presencia de Nuestro Señor Je-sucristo. 3. Por favor, también recuerde su contribución semanal a su parroquia mientras esta de vacaciones. Muchas ocasiones suce-de que la gente piensa que se debe contribuir solo cuando se asiste a Misa y si no se atienden a los servicios de Misa no tie-nen que contribuir. Su parroquia siempre necesita de su gene-rosidad y apoyo.

GRUPO DE JÓVENES Es un placer informales que gracias a la colaboración del Grupo de Jóvenes bajo la dirección de Angélica Taveras, nuestra parroquia ha sido felicitada por la Diócesis debido a que recolectamos la mayoría de inscripciones para votantes que tuvo lugar el pasado Junio 11-12 del 2016. SPIRITUAL PARTICIPATION IN THE EUCHARIST

We want to remind you that the hosts and wine, candles and flowers used for the cele-bration of the Eucharist in our parish can be donated for a period of one week, they can be made for special intentions (sick, thanks-giving, birthdays, etc.), or in memory of a loved one. The intention will be announced in the weekly bulletin for all members of the

15TH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME

GRUPO DE JOVENES Cada verano, “Life Teen” alberga cuatro Conferencias Steubenville con jóvenes diferentes (Este, Oeste, Nueva York y Atlanta) con la esperanza de fortalecer e inspirar a adolescentes y grupos de jóvenes en sus viajes colectivos hacia Cristo. Evangelistico de naturaleza, las conferencias de Junio 24-26 del año 2016 fueron de una gran " introducción" al mensa-je del Evangelio para los adolescentes nuevos, al mismo tiempo que ofrece profundo movimiento de experiencias en la oración y comunión, incluso para sus clientes habituales del grupo juvenil. Nuestro grupo de jóvenes asistió a la Conferen-cia Steubenville en la Universidad de St. John y declararon que fue una experiencia inolvidable.

YOUTH GROUP Each summer, Life Teen hosts four different Steubenville Youth Conferences (East, West, NYC, and Atlanta) with the hopes of strengthening and inspiring teens and youth groups in their collective journeys to Christ. Evangelistic in nature, the conferences on June 24-26, 2016 were both a great “introduction” to the Gospel message for new or younger teens, while offering deep and mov-ing experiences of prayer and fellowship for even your Youth Group regulars. Our Youth Group attended the Steubenville Confer-ence at St. John’s University and said it was an unforgettable experience.
