JULY 22, 2018 S IXTEENTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARYT IME
from the Pastor’s Desk...
By now, some of you may have begun to see some
changes around the church, thanks to your generosity.
Whether you contributed to the capital improvement fund
or participated in some way to this year’s Main Event
parish fundraiser, your generosity is taking shape in the
improvements you see to the church interior; and they are
really looking great. Thank you for your continued
generosity.
There is so much happening these days. From Fests to
Feasts, to our Picnic and Canon Weaver’s First Solemn
High Mass and reception: all these happenings for you to
visit, participate in, or just be one of the invited guests.
Come and enjoy!
Of particular import would be our Parish Picnic next
Saturday following the 4 p.m. Mass. Please plan on
staying after Mass for some fun, food and fellowship. If
you are able to bring a side dish or dessert that would be
great. But whether you are able to bring something or not,
please bring yourself! It should be a great evening.
Speaking of great evenings, please plan on attending the
soon to be Canon Matthew Weaver’s First Solemn High
Mass on August 5th at 5:00 p.m. Please put on your
“Sunday Best” and participate in this most beautiful
Liturgy. Following Holy Mass, Canon Weaver will give
his first priestly blessings. You are also invited to the
Garden Reception on the South Lawn of the Rectory
immediately following Mass. There will be a light meal,
beverages and an opportunity to visit with Canon Weaver.
It will be a most wonderful evening. Please be a part of it.
I am looking forward to seeing many of you at these
parish events.
May God’s blessings be yours this week. Father Ireland
