PRODUCT SERVICE LIFE, RIDE WEIGHT LIMIT AND INTENDED USE All bicycle components have a finite useful service life. This is determined by a combination of many factors including: typical load correct installation materials and technologies product design rider weight and power care and maintenance type of usage impact damage These factors all affect wear. Additionally, components are subject to a less-known form of wear known as 'material fatigue'. This is the progressive separation of the molecular structure, a 'micro-fracture' that eventually grows large enough to cause failure. To minimize your riding risk, 3T recommends you check your bicycle regularly for signs of wear. Have a qualified mechanic regularly inspect all parts of the bicycle for corrosion, wear, cracks, deformation, surface damage, and any sign of fatigue. Spotting early signs of fatigue requires visual enhancers like penetrating fluids. Any component that is worn out, has lost its structural integrity, or shows any sign of fatigue or damage must be replaced immediately, to reduce the possibility of an accident that could cause serious injury. WEIGHT LIMIT. A heavier rider and/or an aggressive riding style, increase the stress on the parts, reducing service life. 3T parts are suitable for riders below 110 kg/240 lb. INTENDED USE. This product is designed solely for road bike use on smooth tarmac. Any other use may be dangerous and should be avoided. Fit and hand tighten the extension clamp bolts into the expanders and place them into the extension clamps.

Insert the extensions into the extension clamp to desired legth. Get at least 20 mm of extension coming of from the back of the extension clamp.

Use friction enhancer on contact surface of extension and clip-on clamps

Tighten extension clamp bolt using a wrench until the extensions are secure.

3T Aerobars are compatible with any other 3T extension shape.

    CAUTIONMaximum torque: 5 Nm

CAUTIONSome setups require the extensions to be tightened before the clamp is mounted on the base bar.

WARNINGHaving less than 20 mm of extension length coming off from the back of the extension clamp can cause extension slipping while riding which could lead to a loss of control of the bike resulting in serious injury and/or death. (Fig.21)
