A urban pack was designed to fill it and providethesitewith new different conections:a

pedestrians way and a cycling path. Both comealongwith arborization, theproper urbanstructurelikebenches and water fountains, and a green field under thebridge.Thebridge’sstructureprovides thelighting.

PROJECT COMPONENTS

Christchurch has been battered with theprevious earthquakes that struck thecity.Within thiscontext our holeclass aim was to research and proposenew outlines for thefutureofthecityitself. To do so, each student grouptook over different problematic zones to further developtheseschemes. Our groupchooseTower Junction and after researchingtogether wedevelo-

ped threedifferent solutions for theproblems wefocused on.

Themain objectiveofthis project is solvingtheexistingdisconnection in thesitefocusingon therailway, presentingtheproblems it carries nowdays and tryingto developa new wayin which thecity interacts with this strongelement,in hope that this may serveto encoura-getheconstruction ofa better city.
