TRANSCRIPT
Field Bus System; Driving Total Productivity Management
Course Objective: This course covers the development of the ANSI/ISA-50.02 standard, which is the driving force behind the Foundation fieldbus technology. Other industrial bus systems are compared to Foundation fieldbus technology. Both Foundation fieldbus H1 (31kbits/sec) and High-Speed Ethernet (100Mbits/sec) buses are discussed. The benefits and cost savings of Foundation Fieldbus technology compared to 4-20mA field technology are covered, as well as how Foundation fieldbus segments are put together and configured.
This course has been designed to improve the following competences To design the fieldbus segment To configure the system software To organize the communication sequence inside the system To implement the function blocks in PID control loops To master the practical aspects of the fieldbus system
