What do Students Say?

“Coming from a small town to a big university, it’s nice to have a small class where everyone

knows my name. Math Excel definitely helped

my grades, but I left each class with some good

memories”

Brandon Nelson, Belfry, KentuckyChemistry Major, Class of 2013

What do Students Say?

“MathExcel is a great program that provided a friendly and supportive environment during my freshman year. The workshop helped me to obtain many new study skills and to understand in depth all of the material we learned in the calculus lectures. MathExcel was a big part of my success in the calculus sequence and gave me the opportunity to acquire many new friendships in college.”

Danielle Fontanez, Lexington, KentuckyMathematics Major

What do Students Say?“I recommend the Math Excel program to incoming freshmen because Calculus is about how to attack problems and problem-solving. The best way to solve problems is to have many people working simultaneously on the same problem, having different angles on how to approach a problem. By working in a group, as MathExcel offers, you get that one-on-one and you also get that group experience with other students.”

Ese Ighodaro, Lexington, KentuckyBiochemistry MajorMath Excel Assistant Workshop Leader
