M2M overview

M2M, Tecnatom Group’s subsidiary, has become one of the key player on the NDT market for phased-array ultrasound equipment.

In 10 years, M2M has developed and manufactured modular and versatile products, ranging from massively-parallel systems (256+ channels), to portable systems. Used worldwide by integrators as well as by research laboratories, M2M is widening its market to all NDT operators in aerospace-, metallurgy-, oil & gas-, power generation- and automotive industry. M2M range products combine the latest advances in electronics and software for acquisition, data processing and display. The M2M user interface covers most of NDT inspection configurations. The systems meet industrial requirements in terms of production and inline inspection services. The company relies on a dozen of worldwide distributors and its two subsidiaries M2M do Brasil and M2M China, to satisfied international customers. Today, M2M has sold about 500 systems deployed in 25 countries, and the team counts more than 40 highly-qualified people in electronics, software engineering, and nondestructive testing.

Gekko, a genuine innovation

M2M has recently introduced GEKKO, its first portable phased-array system. Designed for field applications, GEKKO offers state-of-the-art phased-array techniques in a smart graphic environment.

GEKKO is natively loaded with the most advanced phased-array techniques (PAUT) in order to meet the versatility required by various industrial segments such as aerospace. Used by technicians as well as experts, GEKKO is the first phased-array system to offer at the same time, matrix-probe management and real-time enhanced imaging techniques (Total Focusing Methods). With 64 full parallel channels, GEKKO also offers a wider range of focusing techniques.

GEKKO is the only system of the market combining traditional phased-array techniques with high-end 3D imaging techniques. GEKKO is fueled by CIVA (leading simulation software of the NDT market). With a simplified graphic user interface, GEKKO offers a range of applications. With step-by-step guidelines and a robust interface, GEKKO reduces the room for errors. Moreover GEKKO manages indications found during inspections and offers custom reporting tools.
