1 REASON FOR REVISION

Changes supporting Ericsson R8 revision of GSM and a general improvementof the product.

2 IMPLEMENTATION SOLUTION

• The R8 changes relevant for the course content have been included.

• Chapters on “Multiband” and “Subscriber Services” were removed.

• A chapter on GPRS was added.

• The previously existing chapter on “Signaling Introduction” wasrestructured.

• The previously existing chapter on “SCCP” was reconstructed.

• Exercises using protocol analyzer for Network Service Part (MTP andSCCP) and SCCP Users (BSSAP, TCAP, MAP) were added.

• Editorial and meritorical mistakes were corrected.

A detailed list of changes can be found in section 18 of the Teacher’s Guide(03810.doc, revision G).
