Above is looking at the site at different times of the year at different intervals during the day. As it is clearly show, the site retains at least some sunlight throughout areas of the day. In summer the high sun penetrates the site more, whereas in winter the low sun produces long shadows and the sun is around for less time.

There is a North-Easterly wind which blows through the site and is slightly funnelled through the gaps within the bridge.

To help me create an effective ideas store, I will have To help me create an effective ideas store, I will have to include the information regarding the site, reinforce these ideas with my concepts and also to look at the users needs and what would be efficient for them.

I would like to celebrate the history of the site, but at the same time embrace the future and the technology behind this.

The theme of my design will be the ‘story of the site’. Looking at other influences and words which I associate with the use and vision of a library. I have picked up on the old and new aspects of the site and done my best to inte-grate them within the site to inform the shape of my build-ing. Incorporating the concept of meditation, privacy, poetry and progression with extraction to also fit the idea of linking both the new and old parts to the site was the basis of my site and historic analysis.
