(poor/increased appetite with significant weight loss/gain), change in sleep patterns (difficulty/over sleeping), change in activity level (increased/slowed down levels of physical activity), loss of interest or pleasure in usual activity (you don’t really have fun in normal stuff), loss of energy (feeling tired all the time), feelings of worthlessness (excessive or inappropriate guilty feelings), difficulty thinking or concentrating (you cant think straight), recurrent thoughts of death or suicide (you just want your life to end). This subject relates to the class because we are talking about mental disorders and clinical depression is one. This is important for the class to know so that we can tell when someone's becoming depressed.

#5#5Lets say like you and your family were exposed to go to a family

reunion in Texas and you had to do something important . Your whole family gets on the airplane and it takes off and while your watching it blows up. That would make you depressed you'd be depressed and probably at home for a while and might not eat. Your laying in bed and sleeping all you want to do is sleep so you can see them again. Then that fun exiting important thing comes up but now you don’t want to do it anymore and you think its stupid. Your sitting there thinking its all your fault. So eventually a week has passed you still haven't left the house and you feel so tired all the time. Every time you try to think of anything. The same image keeps popping up in your head. Then you get all these thoughts of killing yourself. Finally you fall through with it you get a knife out of the kitchens and your about to kill yourself. Your best friend walks in to check on you, since he hasn’t heard from you in awhile, so he comes in the door and stops you. He takes you in his car to a hospital and they try to help your depression. Finally a month later they let you out and your all better and you go home and thank your best friend and live all healthy (for now).
