This section introduces how to use Menu Bar Functions Open File Browser:

Duplicate the image:

Undo the image effect:

Redo the image effect:

Flip the image horizontally:

Flip the image vertically:

Rotate the image 90o CW:

Zoom in the image in Image window:

1. On the View menu, click Zoom in 2. The image will be magnify and you can press zoom in function repeatedly

Zoom out the image in Image window: 1. On the View menu, click Zoom out 2. The image will be de-magnified and you can press zoom out function repeatedly

Display auxiliary line:

1. On the View menu, click Display auxiliary line 2. Please refer to the Part 6. Functions for User Defined Layout for auxiliary line

editing Hide auxiliary line:

1. On the View menu, click Hide auxiliary line 2. The auxiliary will be disappear

Brightness / Contrast adjustment:

1. On the Adjust menu, click Brightness / Contrast 2. Prompts Brightness / Contrast box, enter the number from –100 to 100 for

brightness and contrast or use slide bar to adjust the brightness and contrast

3. Press OK to confirm setting or Cancel to exit without new setting 4. Brightness / Contrast on selected area only or entire image. (How to select region,

please refer to toolbar Select Tool description) Hue / Saturation adjustment:

1. On the Adjust menu, click Hue / Saturation

2. Prompts HSL box, enter the number from –180 to 180 for hue, -100 to 100 for saturation, and luminance or use slide bar for adjustment

The two color bars in HSL box represent the colors in order. The upper color bar

shows the color before the adjustment; the lower bar shows all of the adjustment affects on the hues channel. Choose color channel to adjust

Master for all. Red, Green, Blue for their color range and User defined to define a color

range as you want.

A hue adjustment slider appears between the color bars, which you can use to edit any range of hues. Drag Slave to adjust the amount of Slave affected area. Drag Slave Range to change the Slave affected area Drag Master to adjust the amount of Master affected area. Drag Master Range to change the entire area, selecting a different color area

Color Tone: A single color gradation tone. IR Color Tone : A single color gradation tone simulated infra red effect

Color Balance adjustment:

Gamma adjustment: 1. On the Adjust menu, click Gamma 2. Prompts Gamma box, enter the number from –10 to 10 for gamma or use slide bar

for adjustment.

1. On the Adjust menu, click Curve 2. Prompts Curve box, choose Master, Red, Green or Blue Channel and adjust the

color of the image. Click any points on the curve that you want to remain fixed. You can add up to 15 points to the curve, locking those values.

3. Press OK to confirm setting, Reset all to restore the original setting or Cancel to exit without new setting.

Level adjustment:

1. On the Adjust menu, click Level 2. Prompts Level box, choose Master, Red, Green or Blue Channel.

3. Drag the Input Levels sliders to the edge of the first group of pixels on either end of the histogram or enter values directly into the Input Levels text boxes for image contrast in highlight areas.

4. Drag the Output Levels sliders to the edge of the first group of pixels on either end of the histogram or enter values directly into the Output Levels text boxes for image contrast in highlight areas. Drag slider (A) to decrease shadows. Drag slider (B) to decrease highlights

Press OK to confirm setting, Reset all to restore the original setting, Auto level to perform automatically the equivalent of the Level slider adjustment, Equalize to redistributes the brightness values of the pixels in an image so that they are more evenly represent the entire range of brightness levels or Cancel to exit without new setting.

Invert adjustment:

1. On the Adjust menu, click Invert 2. Make a positive black-and-white image negative or to make a positive from a

scanned black-and-white negative. 3. Invert on selected area only or entire image.

Auto Level adjustment:

1. On the Adjust menu, click Auto Level 2. Define the lightest and darkest pixels in each channel as white and black and then

redistribute the intermediate pixel values proportionately. 3. Auto Level on selected area only or entire image. (How to select region, please refer

to toolbar Select Tool description) Auto Contrast adjustment:

1. On the Adjust menu, click Auto Contrast 2. Adjust the highlights and shadows of an image automatically. Auto Contrast maps

the darkest and lightest pixels in the image to black and white, causing highlights to appear lighter and shadows darker.

3. Auto Level on selected area only or entire image. (How to select region, please refer to toolbar Select Tool description)

Equalize adjustment:

1. On the Adjust menu, click Equalize. 2. Redistributes the brightness values of the pixels in an image so that they more

evenly represent the entire range of brightness levels. By selecting Equalize, IDesiree 2.0 finds the brightest and darkest values in the image so that the darkest value represents black (or as close to it as possible) and the brightest value represents white. IDesiree 2.0 then attempts to equalize the brightness that is, to distribute the intermediate pixel values evenly throughout the grayscale.

3. Equalize on selected area only or entire image. Suntan Skin adjustment:

1. On the Adjust menu, click Suntan Skin 2. Suntan Skin on selected area only or entire image.

Bleach Skin adjustment:

1. On the Adjust menu, click Bleach Skin 2. Bleach Skin on selected area only or entire image.

Remove red eye from image:

1. On the Tools menu, click Red eye reduction 2. If you are unsatisfied with the size of the Tool size, please go to Note 1. 3. Choose the image area to remove the red eye effect.

Remove Spot from image:

1. On the Tools menu, click Spot free 2. If you are unsatisfied with the size of the Tool size, please go to Note 1. 3. Choose the image area to remove the spot.

Soften select skin on image:

1. On the Tools menu, click Soften select skin 2. If you are unsatisfied with the size of the Tool size and weight, please go to Note 1. 3. Choose the image area to selectively soften the skin.

Rotate selection on image:

1. On the Tools menu, click Rotate selection 2. Press and hold down the cursor in Image Window to select ellipse area for rotation.

3. Move mouse to , drag to move rotate center 4. Rotate the selective area by dragging the mouse

Sharpness adjustment:

1. On the Tools menu, click Sharpness 2. Prompts Sharpness box, enter the number from –100 to 100 for sharpness or blur

or use slide bar for adjustment.

3. Press OK to confirm setting or Cancel to exit without new setting.

Soften skin adjustment:

1. On the Tools menu, click Soften skin 2. Prompts Soften skin box, enter the number from 0 to 100 or use slide bar for

adjustment.

3. Press OK to confirm setting or Cancel to exit without new setting.

4. Photo ID Printing:

1. Opens up the images by selecting “File” in Menu Bar and choose to ‘File Browser” prompts a Windows based dialog box to select the ID photos that you wish to edit and print out

2. By double clicking on image file, an Image window pops up and the image is

automatically placed into Image Panel. You also can directly drag the images from file browser to Image Panel.

Delete: 1. Select the newly defined ID layout 2. Click on the RIGHT button of mouse, click Delete 3. ID layout is deleted

Copy: 1. Select the newly defined ID layout 2. Click on the RIGHT button of mouse, click Copy 3. ID layout is copied and pasted inside the dotted red line

Copy Row / Column:

1. Select the newly defined ID layout 2. Click on the RIGHT button of mouse, click Copy Row / Column 3. All ID layouts inside the dotted red line are copied and pasted

Space Height Evenly: 1. Select the newly defined ID layout 2. Click on the RIGHT button of mouse, click Space Height Evenly 3. The height of all ID layouts on the Montage is space evenly.

dotted red line 4. Press and hold down “Ctrl” button and select the ID layouts that you wish to group

(* Grouping only applies to same size ID layout) 5. Click on the RIGHT button of mouse, click Group

Edit Auxiliary Line: 1. Select the newly defined ID layout 2. Click on the RIGHT button of mouse, click Edit Auxiliary Line
