Rationale for Anticipation

• Typical project duration: 12-18 months

• Majority of R&D activities to be launched before the end of 2004: critical results for the end of the Galileo Development and Validation phase.

• New inputs related to Galileo Program evolution (rapid market take up of satellite navigation, international context, promotion of innovative ideas from SME’s, etc.)

• In line with the initial EC budget planning
