Challenges Faced by Local Project
Dialogue with schools and finding the right person to talk to
Battling the STAAR (TAKS) tests for time slots
Modifying the activities from one week to a half day
Are you interested in learning about engines and how they create power from a heat source?
Ever wonder what those giant propellers blowing in the wind in west Texas are for?
Come out to this Saturday’s event to learn the answers to the above questions. You will work with a Stirling engine, build a wind turbine, and discover how they create electricity!
Engineering students from Texas A&M University will be at Clayton Elementary on Saturday, 27 April 2013 to inspire future STEM leaders. Activities begin at 9am and will last until noon.
