During the route,participants are accompanied by accredited monitors. It ends in the Castle ofAlmourol, a medieval castle with an important characteristic, itis considered the only iberian castle to be built on an island inthe middle of the river.During the journey, participants will have the opportunity to seethe Medieval Tower of King Wamba, the Templar Castle ofBelver, stunning riverside towns as Abrantes, Constância(Land of Luís de Camões - most important writer to thePortuguese literature) and Tancos. The program includescultural visits to Vila Velha do Ródão and a close contact withthe local cuisine (Portuguese crumbs - ''migas'' with river fishroes). Participants will overnight in campsites or places alongthe river. Emphasis on the River Beach of Alamal (Blue flag -the most important reward concerning quality, in Portugal).

Come meet the best canyonings of Portugal.Discover clear water rivers in the most stunningPortuguese mountains, places where no one elsegoes.

Description: The Centre of Portugal is the region withthe best canyonings - come meet them with us.The 1st day of this program is dedicated to specifictechnical training on ropes, in order to determine theknowledge and experience of the participants. The firstcanyoning is in Ribeira da Pena, a section that doesn'trequire much technique and has many jumps to the waterup to 7 meters. It is an affordable approach to start theprogram. The following days, it continues in the riversLordelo and Teixeira, which are gradually more technicaland have higher jumps, always with astonishing naturalsurroundings.The last two canyonings are in river Frades, one of thebest portuguese rivers for those who practice canyoning.

Serra da Lousã, we will take you to the best Schist Villages and tosome breathtaking natural places of Natura 2000, passing alongthe highest point of the mountain, with 1200 meters, a place withstunning views over half of the country. The program continues toSerra do Açor and its wonders, such as Fraga da Pena (thebiggest waterfall of the region) and Mata da Margaraça (naturereserve). Once again participants will pass in the highest point ofthe mountain, 1400 meters, and visit Piódão, an historical villageknown as ''the Land of the end of the world''. Finally, we will passin the most interesting places of Serra da Estrela until we get tothe top of the mountain, with 2000 meters. Participants will alsohave the chance to see Glacier Valley of Zêzere (one of thebiggest in Europe) and some other natural wonders of thismountain which is a Nature Park. Concerning the typical cuisine,participants will taste the delicacies of the region, like ''Leitão àBairrada”, “Chanfana”, grilled pork, among others. Trilobites in the world were found) and the House of '‘pedrasparideiras'' (an extremely rare phenomenon, where rocks give birthto smaller rocks).This region is also very rich not only in naturalheritage, emphasis to the amazing waterfall of ''Frecha daMizarela'' (the largest in the country with over 70 meters) and therivers Frades, Caima, Paivô and Paiva, but also in architecturalheritage, with the typical mountainous villages of Castanheira,Albergaria, Tebilhão, Rio de Frades, Drave, Regoufe and Covelode Paivô. Villages where the rural life and traditions are still verymuch alive, with their yokes of oxen, the vineyards of ''vinhoverde'', the threshing floors, traditional granaries andcommunitarian ovens. Description This is an extraordinary expedition, whichpasses along astonishing places of the Alentejo's coastline(Praia de São Torpes, Traditional Village of Porto Covo, VilaNova de Mil Fontes, Cabo Sardão, Zambujeira do Mar,Odeceixe, Aljezur, Bordeira-Carrapateira, Vila do Bispo, Cabode São Vicente, Sagres, Salema, Burgau and Luz). Thehighlights of the route are undoubtedly Vila Nova de MilFontes, Zambujeira do Mar, Cabo de São Vicente (the mostsouthwestern point in Europe - the old Roman ''PromontoriumSacrum'', dedicated to the god Saturn) and the Fortress ofSagres.
