Technical Assistance Requirements

Provide training and technical assistance to:

O Assist Statewide Programs to Implement State PlansO Establish, maintain and expand Alternative Financing

Summary of Neighborhood Legal Services

O Mission: To support Protection and Advocacy for Assistive Technology (PAAT) attorneys and advocates to successfully advocate for AT devices and AT services; support secondary customer bases, including Statewide AT Programs, AFPs, healthcare providers, educators, rehabilitation counselors, and other attorneys/advocates advocating for AT.

O Background and Summary: PAAT staff supported through one-on-one technical assistance, training (webinars, in-person training at annual NDRN conference), support materials (training materials, articles, “Did You Know” fact sheets), resource libraries (hearing decisions, legal briefs, medical and technology articles).

O Identifying TA/Training Needs of PAATs and Others: Through training evaluations, review of TA request history, review of policy developments, consulting with advisory board members, and Catalyst Project surveys.
