Gerri Solinger also of Shell Lake for
month of December.
The calendar project for 2016 is more
or less wrapped up. There are still
some calendars left for purchase and
you may do that by asking Joy at the
grocery store. Thank you everyone
who particpated. It is a whorthwhile
fund raiser for the Shell Lake Branch
of the Legion.
VILLAGE OF SHELLLAKE
Christmas Day is over, but I hope
we all can carry the emotions of
Christmas into the New Year and
beyond. Let us continue to spread
joy and peace as we journey.
The very cold snap before
Christmas meant that our lights didn't
get put up as soon as some would
have like and it also caused a
malfunction at our Village tree. Maybe
next year we'll do better.
I'm not angry at the weatherman
anymore. The streets aren't icy and
there hasn't been too much snow.
You can look forward to some
very interesting hiking trails in the
spring and if we get more snow even
some cross country skiing this win-
ter. The curling ice is ready and it
seems there will be a large number of
curlers out to enjoy it.
I want to commend the volunteer fire
department for their work in putting
out the recent house fire at Tung's.
Unfortunately it didn't turn out so
well for Harold . May he rest in peace.
Now may you all enjoy a wonderful
New Year's Day and a healthy,
productive year ahead.

LITTLE WONDERS CLUBHOUSE
Little Wonders Clubhouse will once
again be accepting bottles for our
bottle drive. This is a great way for
everyone to clean up after the
holidays. We are hoping to do a
door-to-door drive sometime in the
spring, but if you wish to get rid of
your cans and bottles before then,
we will certainly be happy to take
them. You can drop them off at Shell
Lake General Store, or arrange for
pick-up. For more information, con-
tact Joy at 306-427-2044.
SHELL LAKE CURLING CLUB

JEN’S TALKA Very Happy New Year to all!
If there is one thing we can all agree
on, it is starting off a new year with
good intentions of improved health and
wellness. Since I have increased the
tea consumption in my daily routine,
the difference in how I feel is amazing.
A simple cup of tea is not only sooth-
ing for the soul but also provides us
with plenty of health benefits. Our
herbal and wellness teas are extremely
popular this time of year as colds and
flus make their way into our homes.
We have 20 different blends with all
natural herbs, fruits and spices crafted
to complement our journey to wellness.
These are a few of our popular blends
that I personally love! Fine & Dandy -
dandelion and mint get cozy in your
cup. Nettle Greek Mountain - nettle
leaves, lemongrass, and orange. A fave
when feeling under the weather!
Tummy Troubles - orange, mint and
ginger make for a feel good tea. Great
for kids. Feminini Tea - blended for
emotional stability and stress relief.
Too many ingredients to mention, but
one of my new favourites!! 50g bags
are between $8 - 11.
We have a wellness collection as
well as a detox collection which in-
cludes 6 popular herbal teas in a col-
lection box. A great way to sample!
I am happy to host in home tea par-
ties, my house or yours, they are tons
