(#6.) Matthew 5 Verse 8 “Blessed [are] the pure in heart: for they shall see God.” A man can carry nothing with him into Eternity, except that which is stored in his heart! Jesus was asked, Matthew 22 Verses 35-40 “Then one of them, [which was] a lawyer, asked [Him a question], tempting Him, and saying,” (36) “Master, which [is] the great commandment in the law?” (37) “Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love The Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.” (38) “This is the first and great commandment.” (39) “And the second [is] like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.” (40) “On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.” As we grow in life, for the majority, we begin to understand that life is more for us than possession, things, position and status. We know without a shadow of a doubt, that there is more to this life than meets the eye.

1 Corinthians 2 Verse 9 “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him.” Jeremiah 33 Verse 3 “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” We also know, and have heard it said, 1 Corinthians 13 Verse 11 “When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.” Yes, it is sooner or latter in our lives, when the blocks and the toys, the paints and the crayons get put over where they belong, in the corner! Speaking of children, Jesus said, Matthew 18 Verse 3 “And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into The Kingdom of Heaven.” My, what wonderful parallels we are gaining from this! I personally think that the most pure in heart, is that of a learning child: A child, hungry for growth, they are like a little sponge, ever ready to soak up and learn.

To the adult, comes the understanding that the possession of goods and the memory of vast experiences are all quite empty. That is, apart from the development of the inward character that one has hoped to have gained through the years of growth and development that we have been Blessed with. A child for one, will find great delight, in “What he has.” But as he/she grows to a youth, for the most delight in what they do. Not so much, in regards to what they have! I am sure that we have all heard the phrase, “Been there, done that!” As we mature to adulthood, we begin to discover that our direction in life revolves for the majority around, “What we are!” Added to that, we ponder as to, “What we will leave behind,” as a legacy to those that follow in our own family line. Those who Love The Lord our God, with all our hearts, all our minds, our soul and our strength. The answer to these questions of life, revolve around the person

in whom we place our communion and trust. It relates more to the fact of just, “Who’s we are!” All else, is like our lives … “Here today, and gone tomorrow!” I know, “Who’s I’d rather be, so do you, or you wouldn’t be reading this!” God loves a single heart, a heart that longs for Him! “Blessed [are] the pure in heart: …” The word “Pure,” taken from the Greek “Katharos,” to describe things which are “wholesome, without any mixture or alloy.” Spoken of “pure fine gold,” “the finest of wheat,” “the nature of milk, white and pure.” “The purity of

water, unpolluted and crystal clear.” “The quality of a fine wine, free from impurity and sediment.” “A pure undefiled heart with clean hands, one fit to dwell in the company of Him who is HOLY, The Awesome Presence of The Living God.” Jesus, is described as “God’s Pure Lamb, without sin stain and blemish.” The Spotless Bridegroom, returning for His Pure Bride, flesh of His flesh and bone of His bone. Partaker of The Divine Nature, Holy, without sin stain or blemish! To many of us, we have such along way to go. We have such a long way to even begin to live up to His Standard. But, that’s the irony, God looks at the

thoughts and the intents of the heart. He seeks for men and women, who’s hearts beat after His Own Heart. Those who’s hearts are toward God, “Most Blessed, happy of all and to be much congratulated are they, the pure in heart: …” Psalm 140 Verse 13(b) “ … the upright shall dwell in Thy Presence.” If Love, is the deepest desire of the heart of hearts, then it will find “Peace and Satisfaction, in The Very Presence of God.” Hebrews 12 Verse 14 “Follow peace with all [men], and holiness, without which no man shall see The Lord:” The inner strength of conviction that lies in one whose heart beats after God is displayed by the courage of those convictions outworked in the life of the believer. He/she knows without a shadow of a doubt that God’s Word says, Psalm 37 Verses 23-24 “The steps of a [good] man

are ordered by The LORD: and He delighteth in his way.” (24) “Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for The LORD upholdeth [him with] His Hand.” This purity of heart, is descriptive of one like Jacob, who wrestled with The Angel of The Lord until dawn: Though the cost, was a limp from the hip, like Paul’s thorn in the side, there is none the less, the strength of conviction, the desire to see The Lord ... Exodus 33 Verse 18 “And he said, I beseech thee, shew me Thy Glory.” The fall, though it matters, it’s really the coming back that counts! The thorn, though it bothers him, it’s the drawing closer that draws out the irritation in the knowledge that, 2 Corinthians 12 Verse 9(b) “ … My Grace is sufficient for thee:” The limp though painful, is nothing to compare to the dawn of new light and the Blessings that follow!

It’s ultimately God in the moment, and the moment in God … these are the times, when you really have nothing to say, His Holiness, silences all lips! In a Christian sense, it’s not o.k. to fall, but if you do, Jesus has promised that he will never leave nor forsake us. No, we all too ready to want to stone to death the one who sins! Obviously, this is no excuse to do your own thing, but if you do slip, I am sure that He would want us to know that He is there! It’s o.k, to fall, but it’s NOT o.k, to fall alone! “Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for The LORD

upholdeth [him with] His Hand.” Jesus said, “What comes out of the mouth, reveals the condition of the heart!” Matthew 15 Verse 11(b) “ … not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.” Matthew 15 Verse 18(b) “ … those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.” True Christianity, lies in the purity of the heart, anyone, can give lip service even Pastors! There has been many a hireling, that is no better than a pool of muddied water. Stagnant ponds who’s hearts are far from God and who’s mouths are filled with judgemental rubbish, polluted streams, not fit to drink

from!!! Matthew 15 Verses 8-9 “This people draweth nigh unto Me with their mouth, and honoureth Me with [their] lips; but their heart is far from Me.” (9) “But in vain they do worship Me, teaching [for] doctrines the commandments of men.” Unstable ground, will always cause one to slide and loose their footing, so too, will obstacles that are placed within our path. Those who have clean hands and pure hearts, are given an enormous promise, “ … they shall see God.” -They will know His Presence, -They will see His works in their lives, - But most wonderful of all, they will commune with Him and know both His Will, His Way and His Purpose:

Jeremiah 29 Verse 11 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith The LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” A “Pure Heart,” is an undivided heart. It does tend to put the noses of the carnal “out of joint!” Simply because a “Pure heart,” is totally loyal. They see God, they cannot help but see God and they tend to cause over reaction, in those that cannot see Him! (See, if your angry at me, then close the book … you’ve missed out!) Never mind about the book, set your heart toward The Purity of our Creator. John 14 Verses 8-29 “Philip saith unto Him, Lord, shew us The Father, and it sufficeth us.” (9) Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen

The Father; and how sayest thou [then], Shew us The Father?” (10) Believest thou not that I AM in The Father, and The Father in Me? The Words that I speak unto you I speak not of Myself: but The Father that dwelleth in Me, He doeth the works.”

(11) “Believe Me that I [AM] in The Father, and The Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake.” (12) “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater [works] than these shall he do; because I go unto My Father.” (13) “And whatsoever ye shall ask in My Name, that will I do, that The Father may be Glorified in The Son.” (14) “If ye shall ask any thing in My Name, I will do [it].” (15) “If ye Love Me, keep My Commandments.” (16) “And I will pray The Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you for ever;”

(17) “[Even] The Spirit of Truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth Him not, neither knoweth Him: but ye know Him; for He dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.” (18) “I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.” (19) “Yet a little while, and the world seeth Me no more; but ye see Me: because I live, ye shall live also.” (20) “At that day ye shall know that I [AM] in My Father, and ye in Me, and I in you.” (21) “He that hath My Commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that Loveth Me: and he that Loveth Me shall be Loved of My Father, and I will Love him, and will manifest Myself to him.” (22) “Judas saith unto Him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that Thou wilt manifest Thyself unto us, and not unto the world?”

(23) “Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man Love Me, he will keep My Words: and My Father will Love him, and We will come unto him, and make Our Abode with him.” (24) “He that Loveth Me not keepeth not My sayings: and The Word which ye hear is not Mine, but The Father’s which sent Me.” (25) “These things have I spoken unto you, being [yet] present with you.” (26) “But The Comforter, [which is] The Holy Ghost, whom The Father will send in My Name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”

(27) “Peace I leave with you, My Peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

(28) “Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come [again] unto you. If ye Loved Me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto The Father: for My Father is greater than I.” (29) “And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.” Bibliography of reference material.

About the authors. By way of introduction, the only heart desire of “The Dalton family,” is to see more folk, coming out of themselves, and going deeper into personal relationship with the person of our Lord and Saviour, The Lord Jesus Christ: Bob & Nikki, have compiled and published materials helpful for growth and development in regards to their vision of being an available resource to assist folk to be schooled and skilled in basic foundational doctrine ... Our only desire before God is to honour and serve the Lord as a family. We love The Lord Jesus Christ and our Father God with all our hearts and are so grateful for the ever faithful ministry of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Psalm 40 Verse 8 “I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law [is] within my heart.” Our injunction to you is therefore ... Let us join together to, “Church the Un-Churched, Teach the Un-Taught,” and most of all, “Reach the Un-Reached ... for Jesus!” “Go Ye ... !” “Speak Ye ... !” “Do Ye ... !”

Copy-right ... personal observations. To those Brethren, that have laboured long and hard in The Word of our God ... we take time to bless them publically for their endeavours to pass on that Holy Ghost inspired Word throughout His Church ... Hebrews 6 Verse 10 “For God [is] not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.” Therefore, edify The Body of Christ, encourage and exhort; but remember, if you are tempted to call the work of another your own, you are the one that will in the end be held responsible for your actions. “The Spirit of Grace,” gave the work to the hand of “the scribe,” who faithfully put pen to paper. Plagiarism, is not only illegal, it is immoral; above all, we must ... Romans 12 Verse 10 “[Be] kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;” So we exhort you in the name of our Lord and Saviour, to feel quite free to use the material with which the Lord has so blessed us and those before us, bearing in mind that the pre-eminence belongs to The Lord Jesus Christ Himself ... Your brother and sister in Christ’s service, Bob & Nikki Dalton.

Matthew 10 Verse 8(b) “ ... freely ye have received, freely give.”

Series, “Discovering Discipleship … ” Hebrews 6 Verses 1-2 No.1 - “Let us go on …” No.2 - The “how to,” called Repentance: No.3 - The “can do,” Faith from God: No.4 - “Baptism … the waters.” No.5 - “The Laying on of Hands:” No.6 - “Resurrection of the dead.” No.7 - “The Eternal Godhead:” “ ... Going on to perfection ... !” The first of a three part series of Bible Studies, these lay the foundation teachings of our Faith based on Hebrews 6 Verses 1-2. Good for young disciples, each lesson is prepared so it can be used as private, group or classroom study material.

As hard as that may be! “Blessed are …” relates to the present tense, to the here and now, not only to the future. But from here, to there and beyond! This second of a three part series of Bible studies, are designed to help understand the development of our Christian Character in our day to day walk.
