Mollie Stone’s Wall Springs to LifeA living wall has sprung to life to complement new seating and benches in front of Mollie Stone’s Market. If the lines of the plants feel familiar, that’s because the wall was designed to capture the understory plant community found on Mt. Tamalpais State Park. The design consists of lush shades of green adding dimension from different viewing direc-tions. And seasonal white and pink flowers to provide blooming surprises through-out the year.

The Mollie Stone’s living wall is the first of other chang-es coming to Mollie Stone’s Greenbrae. including a fresh remodel of the store later this year. Mollie Stone’s Market. 270 Bon Air Center (415) 461-1164

ORANGETHEORY FITNESS

Today’s Anti-Aging Workout It’s no secret that when we age, our bodies go through unwel-come changes; age spots, wrinkles, and hair loss. Along with external changes, our bodies also age at the cellular level. Over time as cells divide, hair-like structures called telomeres start to shorten and fray, taking the form of “split ends.” When they can no longer divide, the aging process comes to fruition. Studies show healthy eating and exercising at high-intensity levels can slow cellular decline and strengthen telo-meres to help prevent the split ends effect. Orangetheory Founder Ellen Latham says, “As a dedicated mem-ber of Orangetheory Fitness in your 20s and 30s, you’ve found the work-out to keep you youthful for life. If you’re over 40, you have found the formula for halting cellular de-cline, you’ve found your ‘anti-aging’ workout.” Main-

tain your health, youth, and vibrancy over the course of decades. Visit Orangetheory Fitness to find your fountain of youth. Orangetheory Fitness. 230 Bon Air Center (415) 481-0876

SOLE DESIRE

Booties for SpringSpring booties are on-trend this season. Often open-toed, spring booties are half sandal, half bootie. Look for shades like lavender and a variety of yellow, pink, blue and mint hues to round out your spring wardrobe. Saturated crayon-like colors are also hot for spring and will likely continue throughout the year. Cherry reds, bubblegum pinks and juicy oranges lead the way. Punch up your jeans-and-a-tee with peppy booties. Booties also pair easily with spring dresses, flowy pants, skinny jeans and shorts. Habit might have you reaching for a simple pair of sandals when wearing a white T-shirt and floral mini, instead try chunky-heeled ankle boots. That long, beachy shirtdress you live in on weekends, looks even better when you swap flip-flops for bright red boots. Booties not only look great, but are comfortable and great for travel. LOVING CUP

Perfect Chewy Chocolate Chunk Cookies For the perfect chewy, gooey cookie, the secret is substituting bread flour for standard white flour. Find these cookies baked fresh all day at Loving Cup. Or try the dough blended into your yogurt. Frozen cookie dough coming soon so you can bake them at home!

*Makes approximately 2 dozen cookies

Ingredients• 2 sticks unsalted butter• 1.5 cups bread flour• 1 teaspoon kosher salt• 1 teaspoon baking soda• 1/4 cup granulated sugar• 1/2 cup light brown sugar• 1 large egg• 1 large egg yolk• 2 tablespoons whole milk• 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract• 12 ounces semisweet chocolate chunks (hand chop a chocolate bar for best texture)

Instructions1. Melt the butter in a 2-quart saucepan over low heat, then set aside to cool slightly.

2. Sift together the flour, salt and baking soda onto a paper plate.

3. Pour the butter into your stand mixer’s work bowl. Add the sugars and beat with the paddle attachment on medium speed for 2 minutes.

4. Meanwhile in a separate bowl, whisk together the whole egg, egg yolk, milk and vanilla extract.

5. Slow the mixer to “stir” and slowly work the egg mixture into the butter and sugar. Mix until

thoroughly combined, about 30 seconds.

6. Using the paper plate as a slide, gradually integrate the dry ingredients, stopping a couple of times to scrape down the side of the bowl.

7. Once the flour is worked in, drop the speed to “stir” and add the chocolate chips.

8. Chill the dough for 1 hour.

9. Heat the oven to 375 degrees F and place the racks in the top third and bottom third of the oven.

10. Scoop the dough into 1 1/2-ounce (scant 1/4 cup)portions onto parchment paper-line half sheet pans, 6 cookies per sheet.

11. Bake two sheets at a time for 15 minutes, rotating the pans halfway through.

12 Remove from the oven, slide the parchment with the cookies onto a cooling rack. Wait at least 5 minutes before devouring!

LINDISIMA MARIN

What better way to feel good about your clothing than wearing fashion that is beautiful, good for you and good for the environment. This spring, treat yourself to clothing that is soft on your skin and gentle on the earth. Look for clothing made from eco-friendly dyes and certified organic cotton. Natural color dyes are made from sources found in nature. Roots, nuts and flowers are just a few ways to find natural colors like yellow, orange, blue, red, green, brown and grey. Organic cotton is free of pesticides, insecticides, herbicides and GMOs. It also causes fewer allergies, reduces respirato-ry problems and smells pleasant. Plus organic cotton uses far less water. Indigenous is an artisan made, fair-trade fashion line that will transform your style and support the environment. Each piece is impeccably handmade and free of pesticides and defoliants. From sweaters and tanks to dresses and pants, come see this fresh, spring clothing line at Lindisima Marin. 190 Bon Air Center (415) 461-9100

Five classifications of Bridal JewelrySpring means wedding season and select-ing the perfect bridal jewelry can seem daunting. Consider the Five Classifications of Bridal developed by Martin Flyer to make the process of selecting an engagement ring worry free. For the setting, choose:

Solitaire: A single center stone. Conveys a sense of timeless elegance.

Three Stone: One center stone and two side stones. Can be worn as a right-hand ring or as an engagement ring.

Channel Style: Diamonds are set in a channel with no metal separating the gemstones. Great for an active lifestyle or women who prefer a modern look.

Shared Prong: The diamonds share prongs so less metal is seen. This design allows the maximum amount of light for the ultimate shine.

Micropavé Engagement Ring Style: An antique look using a precise setting of very small diamonds and tiny beads of metal surrounding each tiny diamond. Contemporary style with an antique look.

Decide between styles: Classic, Vintage, or Contem-porary. Then, hone in on a “look” which reflects the brides personality—Halo, Split Shank, Eternity, Hand Engraved and more.

Embellished and Tinted Eyewear on Trend

Embellished sunglasses took over the Spring/Summer ‘18 runways of fashion houses. Crush-worthy frame silhouettes will be covered in designs from pearls and colorful gems to 3D florals. Try a pair of tinted shades and your surroundings will seem more col-orful than usual. Fun colors like pastel yellow and pink brighten up outfits and offer a cool alternative to basic black aviators. Update your cat-eye options with sunglasses that feature pointy edges and slightly smaller lenses. Fans of oversize sunglasses will fall in love with sporty frames that resemble ski goggles. Try a pair of flat-top visors, it’s a flattering frame shape in a classic, timeless style. ELEMENTS MASSAGE

Moments for Moms, Dads and Grads“Spend on experiences over things, and you’ll fi nd greater happiness” has been the mantra of psychol-ogists and sociologists for years and consumers are heeding that message. Since 1987, the share of con-sumer spending on experiences and events relative to total U.S. consumer spending has increased 70%.

People opt to spend on travel, eating out and self-care. The trend is not limited to the older, wealthier “person who has everything”. 72% of Millennials prefer to spend their money on experiences instead of material goods. When shopping for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, or graduations, consider experiences that will enrich the recipient’s life or contribute to their health and well-being.

Experiential gifts can be found at all budget levels. Here are some options:

Budget Options• Take them for a hike in one of Marin County’s beautiful natural areas
