Innovation Award for

Definition of Elicitation is:

1. To draw forth or bring out (something latent or potential)

2. To call forth or draw out (as information or a response)

It means to actively engage the stakeholder in defining requirements.

The purpose of elicitation is to ensure that stakeholder’s actual underlying

needs are understood, rather than their stated or superficial desires.

Techniques:

Brainstorming, Document Analysis, Focus Groups, Interface Analysis,

Interviews, Observation Prototyping, Requirements Workshops,
