University Park Campus
Travelling by Car University Park Campus – from the M1 North Take the M1 southwards. Leave the M1 motorway at Junction 25 to join the A52 to Nottingham. After a few miles you will arrive at Bardills roundabout, take the second exit (signposted Nottingham) and then at Bramcote roundabout continue along the A52 to follow the signs to Nottingham. At the Priory Hotel roundabout take the third exit onto A6464 Woodside Road. Turn left at the next roundabout into the University’s West Entrance.

Preferred routesRoutes on campus can be very steep for extended distances, and may not be negotiable by manual wheelchair users. The ‘preferred routes’ shown are the best option for wheelchair users, with indication of gradient and direction of incline.

There are raised kerbs, seats and shelters at most city bus stops, including those on campus.
University Hopper bus servicesThe University operates a number of free Hopper buses around University Park Campus and between other main campuses.

About this map
Friends of University Park is a voluntary group that aims to encourage both members of the University and the wider community to make full use of University Park. Throughout the spring, summer & autumn months, the group organises a series of events, walks and talks centred on various aspects of the park, including its gardens, plants, heritage and wildlife. Most events are accessible for people with disabilities and mobility issues.

Students’ Union barThe Ark Bar is located at the east end of A Floor [lower ground] Portland Building (15). The Ark has an accessible entrance and an accessible toilet.
For those visiting the city centre, Nottingham’s tram system is fully accessible. Although the tram currently doesn’t connect the University campuses to the train station or city, there are plans for the tram network to be extended. Please visit www.thetram.net

The Student Services Centre in Portland Building (15) provides a highly visible, accessible centre for all students. Students can carry out a broad range of essential tasks in one convenient location. They can speak with experienced advisers, who have a wide knowledge of the University and gain access to specialist support services.
In addition, Disability Liaison Officers are appointed in each School to provide a point of reference, advice and guidance and for all students and members of staff about disability issues and support.
