2. Creating and carrying out relevant projects such as Toothbrushes for

4. Fundraising and sourcing for partners for AHCP’s different projects
and programs

HEALTHY KIDS
1.Give physical examination and clinical diagnosis to kids between 0 and 14years
old
2.Report daily challenges and difficulties to the executive officer and, when re-
quired, generate progress reports on project activities
3.Regular meetings with AHCP staff and volunteers
4. Conducting fundraising via funding proposals, presentation and events. Interns
are encouraged to come up with innovative funding methods to help the organiza-
tion become sustainable to buy and give free medicine for the kids
5.Define HIV| AIDS marker disease
6.Help AHCP to develop new initiatives including: the child protection and counsel-
ing program, women's literacy circles, HIV/AIDS training and sensitization and the
feeding programs in the schools.

1. Developing and improving the Craft for Cure project- an art therapy
2. program with children with cancer
3. Conducting weekly visits to the kids (Craft for Cure team leader) every Friday
4. Working on various tasks at Faraja Cancer Centre from Monday to Thursday
5. Managing the website
6. Counseling persons affected by cancer

Common housing is provided through intern housing - 200 USD per month, break-
fast and dinner provided. Laundry provided for intern housing. Host family (if one
is available)-interns may pay between 58 and 82 USD per month just as support
to the family for expenses that will be incurred. Two meals are provided. INTER-
NET: Modem sticks can be purchased for internet. There is also internet at the
AIESEC UON office. Please note that transport is not provided. Prices shown are
based on the current exchange rate at time of Ksh.85 per 1USD.
English language required.
