HERE'S TO OUR HEROES! Reading Saves The Day!
The 2010 PTO Scholastics Fall Book Fair promises many adventures in reading from November 8-12 in the Eagle Elementary Library. Students will have an opportunity to preview the Book Fair and create a wish list during their regular library time the week prior to the Book Fair. The Book Fair will be open to the public: Monday, November 8 3 to 5:30 pm Tuesday, November 9 3 to 8 pm Wednesday, November 10 3 to 5:30 pm Thursday, November 11 3 to 7:00 pm Friday, November 12 11am to 1pm We accept cash, check or visa/master card for Book Fair purchases. Each teacher will select books that they would like to add to their classroom library and these will be avail-able for purchase at the Book Fair as well. We will encourage our Eagle students to be heroes by participating in “One for Books” program this year. The students will all have an oppor-tunity to bring loose change in to their classrooms from Nov. 1st through Nov. 12th. For every dollar collected by our Eagle students, scholastics will donate a book to charities in need of books. Examples are Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, Kids in Distressed Situations, Inc. and Kids In Need Foundation. In addition, the money collected stays here at Eagle Elementary and will be used to purchase new books for our library. If you would like to volunteer for the Book Fair, please contact Jenny Kahoun at [email protected] (473-3134) or Cathy Patel at [email protected] (626-0031).
