Thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Stamogiorgos, the Greek Store of Kenilworth, and all parents who volunteered their time, creativity, and generosity during this event. On Sunday March 26th, Kimisis Tis Theotokou Parish Council, AXEPA, Goya, and Greek School students marched with pride down 5th avenue in New York City to honor our ancestors who fought for Greek Independence and freedom after 400 years of slavery under the Ottoman Empire. The Greek School family enjoyed Holy Week, learned about Greek traditions for dying eggs, and sung the hymns and prayers of Χριστός Ανέστη! We also celebrated multiple birthdays during the month of April. We are now getting ready for the end-of-the-year Graduation party and diploma distribution ceremony, as well as our trip to the Onassis Cultural Center in New York City. Join us to admire more than 130 works of art collected from world renowned museums, and for a stroll in Central Park!

Pre-registrations for the next school year have begun! We are working to plan yet another successful school year with emphasis on spreading Greek heritage, culture, language, religion, and traditions. Given how hectic life can be, we are striving to come up with new methods to accommodate busy families’ schedules, such as pre-recorded lessons, meant for flexibly teaching students the required lessons. We are also utilizing smart boards to make classes even more interactive. Please remember that we are open to any & all suggestions for improving our Greek School!
