Welcome

How to support St. Tim’s at this time

Many people have asked how they can continue to

support St. Timothy’s and our continued ministry,

even though we are not gathering to celebrate the

Mass together in the same way. The best way is to

set up an online donation. Please visit our website to

get started and to learn more about the other ways

you can support us. You can also mail your

envelope/check in to the office at the address on the

back cover of this bulletin. We appreciate your

generous support of your St. Tim’s parish family!

Question of the Week:

chosen.” (Matthew 22:14)

• Isaiah 25:6-10 - A feast for all peoples

• Philippians 4:12-14, 19-20 - Generosity

• Matthew 22:1-14 - The wedding banquet

work of the Reign of God?

show that you are a follower of Jesus?

October 18 Social Responsibility

At that [Jesus] said to them “Give therefore to the

emperor the things that are the emperor’s, and to

God the things that are God’s.” (Matthew 22:21)

• Isaiah 45:1, 4-6 - Rewards to Cyrus, king of

Persia

• 1 Thessalonians 1:1-5 - A model for believers

• Matthew 22:15-21 - Paying tax to the emperor

government should take for meeting the needs of

those who are under-resourced and underprivileged?

How willing are you to contribute?

community? What could you and your family do to

help?

““Then God said: Let us make human beings in our image, after our likeness.” Genesis 1:26

Each October the Church in the United States celebrates Respect Life Month. As Catholics, we are called to cherish, defend, and protect those who are most vulnerable, from the beginning of life to its end, and at every point in between. During the month of October, the Church asks us to reflect more deeply on the dignity of every human life. We are called to pray, learn, and act for the sanctity of life. This year, Respect Life Sunday (always the first Sunday in October) falls on the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, who is a faithful example of one who saw the goodness of all life and rejoiced in the interconnectedness of all creation. It is fitting that St. Francis’ feast day marks both the close of the Season of Creation – when we have given thanks for all forms of life – and this month of more intentional reflection on the particular gift of human life. In today's polarized society, we witness as Catholics to the rights and dignity of all human life. We stand for and with the unborn and their mothers, those who are incarcerated, those on death row, those who are sick or infirmed, people with disabilities, those who have been trafficked, immigrants and refugees, those whose lives are diminished through structural injustices like war, poverty, and racism.

Respect Life Month

Pray Join with Catholics around the country for praying for a greater respect for and honoring of the sacred gift of human life. Pray for the collective will to see and reverence God’s image in each and every interconnected human life.

Learn What are some of threats to the dignity of human life? How are these threats related to one another? Which lives are particularly vulnerable, and why?

Act How are you called to take action to support lives which are vulnerable? Where can you use your time, talents, and treasure to support the flourishing of life?
