On behalf of AGC First Lady Cheryl Weiler and myself, we invite you
to join us and participate in the AGC of California Annual Conference
scheduled for October 19 – 22, 2016 in Monterey, California.
After the great success that we had last year of combining Spring and
Fall Conferences to create the AGC of California Annual Conference,
I am excited to be part of this event as it celebrates its second year.
I would like to first thank our Premier Sponsors who supported all
statewide events this year as well as the sponsors who have already
committed their support of the 2016 Annual Conference. With this
support, AGC is able to provide meaningful content for our members
and a growing, fun environment for all conference attendees. This list
of sponsors will grow in the coming months before October, so thank
you in advance, for everyone else who has yet to join this generous list.
This year, AGC’s Annual Conference will be held at the beautiful Portola Hotel & Spa in Monterey, California.
Take a step away from the ordinary and toward the excitement of Monterey Bay at this relaxing hotel
surrounded by unique shopping, fine dining, spectacular coastal trails and beaches, and the rich historical
setting of Old Monterey. Cheryl and I are excited to travel to Monterey and enjoy a trip to “Castaway Island”.
This year’s schedule includes AGC business meetings, which include important decisions about AGC and our
industry, over 12 education seminars specifically chosen to deliver critical industry trends and information
that attendees with all levels of experience can benefit from, fun networking receptions, and of course our
ever-growing Expo. Our Conference Expo keeps growing every year, exposing conference attendees to the
latest in industry service providers and their products.
As in years past, there are also a variety of additional ticketed activities that we encourage you to attend.
Cheryl is excited to host the Spouse / Guest Program on Thursday, and we both are going to make sure
the Island Luau Reception and Dinner on Friday is a night that no one will soon forget. Finally, we will finish
conference week with a Golf Tournament on Saturday. This year is the second year the AGC Awards Banquet
is being held in conjunction with the Annual Conference, so I encourage you to stay for Saturday’s banquet to
honor the “Best of the Best” in the construction industry.
There is so much to be gained by attending the Annual Conference. You will meet new contacts, better your
business, learn valuable industry trends and overall just have a great time with new and old friends. We hope
you take advantage of this exciting opportunity!
We encourage you to register early and take advantage of “Early Bird” registration fees. See you in the by the
bay for a Castaway Island getaway!

years both, as an AGC Student Chapter member and as an industry professional.
Being a part of this association has enabled me to broaden my knowledge of the construction industry through
attending numerous informative training sessions and seminars on such important topics as new construction technologies, construction law, and Lean construction. My involvement within AGC has also helped me to
significantly expand my network by meeting and learning from some of the most influential leaders of the industry. More than any other organization, AGC has helped me grow as a professional
and encouraged me to take on various leadership positions.”
