Adult Drop-inAge: Adult & TeenThursday - 7:30-9pm

Offering recreational fitness and exceptional physical training to enhance performance in virtually any sport or physical activity.

We provide Introductory, Intermediate and Advanced classes in the circus arts. We teach a wide range of skills in gymnastics, acrobatics, aerial gymnastics, trampoline as well as various specialized circus disciplines.

GrouponAfter warming up, classes for adults or kids split into groups to work on various skills. Experienced circus performers might teach them how to soar on the trapeze, bounce atop trampolines, or walk across a tightrope. The exhilarating feats also exercise and condition the entire body.

Clowns juggle balls, trained poodles assemble into a line, and aerial gymnasts soar on the trapeze—and that’s all before the bride cuts the cake. Wonderful World of Circus’s artists unfurl high-flying spectacles at weddings, as well as at birthday parties and corporate events. From acrobats to tightrope walkers, their local and international performers showcase feats of derring-do at both private events and shows for the public, which combine acrobatics and dance to tell stories.

Extending a hand through the fourth wall, Wonderful World of Circus brings kids and adults into the circus to learn these skills for themselves. Trapeze bars, silks, and rings hang down from the training centre's walls. Here, colourful mats and padded floors cushion students as professional circus performers guide them through moves like flipping through the air. Back on the ground, instructors teach other skills such as break dancing and juggling. Aside from its standard classes, Wonderful World of Circus also hosts birthday parties, children's camps, and school field trips.

No experience necessary – “After they’ve shown the parent and us that they are capable, we’ve allowed children as young as 10 to drive.”

Presidential PackageExperience top of the line fun. A private tour for your friends and/or family. Drive at a pace that is comfortable for you or your kids. This is great for first time drivers who may want to take it slower. Your personal trainers (guides) will be there to assist you and teach you the proper technique in driving an ATV or Dune Buggy. Learn to drive with professional trainers in a safe and private environment at your pace.

In the evening, due to our proximity to Settlers Ghost Golf and Country Club many sighting of the legendary Ghost have been witnessed by our guests. This is not a tour recommended for children. Tour leaves in the dark and enter forests where you may hear and see unexplainable movements to the sides of the trail so extra care must be taken while in operation of the ATV. We will be venturing deep into ominous looking forests in complete darkness with only the ATV’s headlights as a source of light. Your co-operation and ability to remain calm is imperative on this journey.

If you are thinking of a snowmobile tour we would recommend one of our ATV winter tours. We are the only ATV touring facility in the area to operate in the winter months. If you’ve never driven an ATV in the winter before, it’s sooo much of fun and you would be surprised where they can go. Our trails are groomed, but for your enjoyment, we do keep some of our trails un groomed because driving through a long snow drift is like driving through deep mud in the summer, but without getting dirty. Our customers love the challenge of trying to make it through, but if you can’t, we can always winch you out. It’s all part of the fun! Enjoy the heated handle bar and thumb warmer to keep your hands nice and warm on this adventure

Activity Contact Info Cost Duration/Time Description RestaurantsBiking - Caledon Trail

Start at Cheltenham General Store14386 Creditview RdCaledon, ON

Trail ContactJan Smith-Bull 905-584-2272 ext. 2248

Free 2-5 hours (travel time not included)Note: Depends on how far you wish to go – Palgrave is the the long end of the trail from Cheltenham.

Home of the first Trans Canada Trail Pavilion (in Caledon East) the Trailway follows the path of an abandoned rail line.

The Hamilton & Northwestern Railway built the line in the 1870's, and was later amalgamated into the Canadian National Railway, to be decommissioned in the 1980's. The Town purchased the line in 1989.

The land is generally rolling and the trail is bordered by farm fields, woodlots and a couple of beaver dams. This trail is generally excellent to the west of Caledon East and quite good between that town and Palgrave. Some of the road crossings can be busy so parents should ensure that the young children do not get too far ahead. Older children who have good cycling skills should be fine on many sections. The trail would be excellent for hiking with the family.

Water and snacks are usually good things to bring.

Note: Washrooms are of the outside (yuck) variety.Biking – Niagara on the Lake Waterfront Trail

Starting at Fort George, head towards Niagara. Or, start at Brock Monument and head towards Niagara on the Lake (downhill).

It’s an amazing view of the river, not badly paved and only has a few small hills (except for the big hill at the Brock Monument which we brake all the way down). Really quite beautiful.

The Brock Monument has a great view of the river and is also one of our favourite spots.

Of course, you can also visit Niagara Falls - one of the 7 Wonders of the World. You’ll always be able to get that view of the water falling down the falls – a surreal experience.

Avondale Dairy Bars (461 Stewart, Niagara-On-the-Lake, Ontario) – Awesome Ice Cream but out of the way.

Park entrance gates open at 8:30 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. daily. Facilities open 10am until 4pm.

This is where one is able to enjoy the beautiful Niagara Escarpment and be entranced by the majestic birds of prey.

Meet at Mountsberg Conservation Area around 11:30, pay our park fees and then head to the show (Birds of Prey Show - 12 noon). Remember to pack some snacks and water.

The Raptor Centre has been providing educational and entertaining shows since 1994. It is currently home to 15 different species of native birds of prey, many of whom have permanent injuries which have left them incapable of surviving on their own in the wild. Often, these injuries are caused by human activity, but with the help of these feathered ambassadors, the community can learn about how to share our environment with native birds of prey, and how to reduce the negative impact we might have on them.

Then, we can go for a little hike around the area for about an hour, ending up at the play barn. We can also have some snacks at some point. If it is in everyone’s interest, there are wagon rides through the Bison compound (12:45 pm, 1:45 pm and 2:45 pm).

After classroom instruction familiarizes soon-to-be drivers with the course’s corners, students get to take the wheel for 10 or 15 invigorating laps, leaving their hair mussed, their eyes bulging, and their torsos coated in corporate sponsorships.

2013 NASCAR Hall of Fame inductee Rusty Wallace allows amateurs to feel first-hand how a real race car rumbles as its tires scorch a professional speedway. Participants can either ride shotgun with an experienced driver or hop behind the wheel to tackle the track themselves. For more of the genuine experience, drivers don the full array of safety gear before climbing or vaulting through the window, including a sleek racing suit, helmet, and HANS neck-protection device.

Delaware Speedway is a half-mile paved oval stock-car track, located just west of London Ontario, Canada. For more than 55 years, Delaware Speedway has been the home to some of the finest stock car racing in Canada. Its unique natural amphitheatre-like setting allows a family or group of friends to enjoy an exciting, comfortable and affordable entertainment.

After a mission commander issues 30 minutes of training and pre-flight intelligence briefings, fighter pilots embark on 30- or 60-minute missions at the helm of an F/A-18 Hornet fighter jet. The facility’s skill-development equipment and PC training simulators help pilots practice the nimble steering and split-second decisions required by combat conditions. All the while, aviators communicate from their cockpit with their mission commander while navigating the challenges of air battle and engaging each other in aerial dogfights to determine who gets the call sign “Iceman.”

Air Combat Zone maintains a group of CF-18 flight simulators that have impressed real-world fighter pilots with dead-on recreations of actual cockpit sensations. In a single visit, civilians with no aviation experience transform into ace pilots capable of flawless aircraft-carrier landings and dogfights victories over enemy planes. Designed to outdo mere video gaming or jumping off your roof, Air Combat Zone takes guests through an immersive, detailed experience using actual military terminology. Detailed training with computers accompanied by propeller noises create a realistic, high-stakes experience. Once in the simulators, sky warriors find themselves at the helm of an F/A-18 Hornet fighter. The simulator is built with exact replicas of the venerable Boeing jet's throttle, heads-up display, and instrumentation, with the action outside the plane projected onto a dizzying 8"x6" screen.

Formula Kartways was founded in 1994 by David Tennyson, an ex pro racer. He brings the racing edge to Formula Kartways and it shows in the technical track layout and modified K-1 karts he custom built for speed and performance.

There is timing and scoring software for each driver. The karts have been upgraded, a brand new all barrier track has been added and the ventilation system was improved. In the near future we will introduce a brand new timing and scoring software for even more stats for each driver.

Note: We found the indoor racing to be very fast, loud and the course challenging. The signup and wait can be a little long. Also, the hairnets and helmets are not the cleanest things around. Wear comfortable clothes.

Molten glass has a mind of its own. It knows exactly what it wants to do –fall to the ground. It has a very focused determination for that! If I can control that, then glass becomes the most versatile and unique medium I’ve ever worked with. I love being in the hot shop; it’s where I feel the most at peace and I can be mesmerised by the glow and growl of the glory hole. To start with something as basic as molten glass, unruly as it can be, and finish with a beautiful form or vessel still inspires awe. It’s ironic that for me, the finished product is often a tactile experience, but while forming that product my hands never actually touch it.

You all will be able to make something nice, and I promise you will have fun!Skytree

If you were trying a flight to see if you might want to learn how; a better alternative is a ‘Low and Slow’ session. The price is the same as a tandem but it takes 2-3 hours and is done solo on a large glider close to the ground. You sort of duplicate the Wright Bros. flights in length. These lessons need to be booked early and late in the day as they have a narrower weather window; that is, the winds need to be light.

~30 minutes (travel time not included)

We guarantee a minimum altitude of 1,000 feet above ground. Usually we get closer to 1500 ft. It is possible to take a ‘deluxe’ flight which means we spend longer on tow and climb to at least 2000 ft. The entire lesson lasts about half an hour. The time in the air can be anywhere from 5-20 minutes (usually about 10 minutes) for the regular flight and about twice that for the deluxe ($50 more).

Tandem Hang Gliding Discovery Flights

Tandem Discovery Flights allow you to experience the freedom of flight by the side of a certified professional. The feeling of freedom is fantastic. Surrounded by 30,000 empty acres, the view is breathtakingly beautiful. We can see Lake Ontario immediately and then Lake Scugog and sometimes even Lake Simcoe. It’s a dream come true…it’s awesome!

The glider is launched from a flat field on wheels - no running required. You and your pilot will be towed up with a hydraulic winch to about of 1300 feet where the tow line is released and you are both free to soar about the open sky. When it is time to land your instructor will bring you both in for a gentle landing on the wheels (or in the summer in Muskoka, on the pontoons).

This is an experience not to be missed and must be tried at least once in your life time. It is relaxing and secure, more like yoga than an extreme sport. Even people who are 'afraid of heights' love it. We have been providing bliss for 40 years...

Free your body and soul, come fly.

Free ~1 to 3 hours (travel time not included)Note: Time depends on if you’re taking the longer trail or just the main trail, the additional side trails, and if you get lost a lot.

A visit to Limehouse Conservation Area is an opportunity to experience the natural wonders of the Niagara Escarpment as well as the cultural heritage of its past. The Bruce Trail and its side trails take visitors through a variety of Escarpment landscapes and even into its geological heart at an area known as the “Hole in the Wall”, where ladders cut through fissures in the escarpment rock. The trail then follows the old Toronto Suburban Radial Railway before eventually crossing Black Creek on a bridge near the remains of an old mill. Before leaving the Conservation Area you will pass lime kilns, a restored powder magazine and an interpretive sign and lookout overlooking railway tracks.

Credit Valley Conservation has installed and re-opened the bridge over Black Creek at Limehouse and the Bruce Trail has been re-routed accordingly, taking the visitor past unique natural and cultural features.

Further exploration will wind you along two side trails (marked with blue paint blazes), the 1.6km Black Creek Trail and the 230m Limehouse Access Trail. The Black Creek Trail follows the cool, clear waters of Black Creek as well as changing forest communities found along the escarpment. The Limehouse Access Trail heads west to the parking lot and ball diamonds.

Of course there are other side trails to get lost on (not that there’s anything wrong with that) for fun.

Note: Washrooms are of the outside (yuck) variety.

Suggested stuff to bring: baseball cap, sunglasses, sunscreen, lip balm, bug spray, snacks/lunch (plastic bag for garbage), wet ones/tissues (no washrooms except for trees), and a camera.

The Niagara Glen is a unique spot of beauty deep in the Great Gorge that has been a designated Nature Reserve since 1992. Stairways lead to 4 km (2.5 mi) of paths that wind through a pristine pocket of Carolinian Forest, past boulders left behind as the Falls eroded through the area thousands of years ago.

Visitors should be aware that hikes through the Niagara Glen involve an elevation change of over 60 m (200 ft). Proper footwear suitable for steep and rugged terrain is required. The trails are well laid out and easily negotiated if you take your time! There's lots of interesting geology and biology to explore.

The most awesome spot is the huge flat rocks you can picnic or relax on overlooking the rapids and watching the Whirlpool Jet Boats go by. This is one of our favourite spots in the world.

Suggested stuff to bring: rain jacket/hooded windbreaker, baseball cap, sunglasses, sunscreen, lip balm, bug spray, shoes you don't mind getting wet water shoes, water, snacks/lunch (plastic bag for garbage), wet ones/tissues (no washrooms except for trees), an extra set of clothes (and extra water to wash up with), a water proof camera and dry bags (or ziplock bags).

They will provide your kayak, paddles, life jackets and a shuttle upstream to the start point. Need to sign waiver forms.

Note: Washrooms are of the outside (yuck) variety.

Dunnville to Port Maitland2.5 to 3 hours (10 km) - Explore the Dunnville Marshes south of the dam, following the route from Dunnville to the mouth of the Grand River where it empties into Lake Erie at Port Maitland. The river continues to widen as it meanders south, past marinas and the sites of former boating and shipping businesses, recalling the area’s historical significance from a time when the original Welland Canal ran through and the Grand River was an important shipping lane. Keep an eye out for skydivers overhead, and boat traffic traveling between the marinas along this stretch of the river to the lake.

Lower Grand River Marshes1.5 hours (6 km) - Beginner friendly, family friendly, easy and lots of FUN! During a leisurely paddle of 1.5 hours, you may encounter blue heron, snapping turtles, American bald eagles, cormorants egrets, kingfishers, beavers, deer, various falcons, and many different fish to name a few…..not to mention spotting jumpers from nearby Niagara Skydive Centre (wildlife of a whole different sort). Who knows, you might even spot “Muddy” the World Famous Grand River Mudcat ! Paddle directly from Grand River Kayak, under a bridge and around the Grand Island Bar-B-Q into an expansive wetland. This tour departs and returns to Grand River Kayak. The current in the Lower Grand River is very slow, and it is a simple matter to paddle both ways…no need for a shuttle!

Rough Water for Beginners (Kayak Surfing)

Looking to expand your sea kayaking experience with some rough water paddling or thought about whitewater kayaking? Then this course is for YOU!

Rough Water for Beginners combines the best of sea kayaking with the moving water and thrill of whitewater. When the wind is right and the waves are up on Lake Erie (which is most of the summer, let’s face it) we will teach you the basics of riding a wave in a sea kayak. We’ll also cover safety and rescue techniques for rough water paddling, all in the safety of shallow water, close to shore.

This course includes teaching the wet exit, so prepare to get wet !

THIS LESSON IS ENTIRELY WEATHER DEPENDENT !

We do what we can, but we can't control Mother Nature. Although Lake Erie is typically wavy, especially later in the summer, we can't predict what the wind or wave conditions might be like months in advance. Please note that because of this, Rough Water for Beginners is subject to being cancelled, postponed, or rescheduled at our discretion if the conditions are not appropriate for the intended skills to be taught.NO WIND, NO WAVES, NO SURF!

Our Paddling Lesson fees always include all of the required equipment and the services of a qualified, professional and friendly instructor. If you wish to provide your own kayak or gear, please discuss this with us in advance. We encourage students to learn using their own equipment, but occasionally your kayak or gear may not be appropriate for the intended lesson. Please note that we do not provide a discount on any lessons shorter than a full day in length (Paddle Canada lessons) for providing your own gear.

Novice paddlers may want to avoid a trek here – or, at least, ride in tandem with a more experienced kayaker in the lead – as the water isn’t always calm or clean, particularly in windy weather. But those who are game for it can get a spectacular view of the Bluffs, one of Lake Ontario’s key natural landmarks, a centuries-old limestone escarpment that stretches past eight miles and has been wowing nature lovers since the eighteenth century.

The day we kayaked was a beautiful, calm day and the water was so clear (and freezing cold), you could see the bottom 10-20 feet down.

This is challenging when crossing from Cherry Beach to the Toronto Islands. There is a lot of boat traffic and therefore very wavy.

Follow the Eastern Gap to the islands. Be careful doing this. It's the major thoroughfare for boat traffic from the harbour - plenty of sailboats, yachts, cruisers, cigarette boats, etc. will bomb through here - so it can be quite wavy. The first aid icon near 4 km indicates the entry into the island channels - it also marks the Wards Island ferry launch so again, be reasonably careful. If you go through the entire island channel system, again pay attention when you exit by the airport - they have minimum distance requirement. Toronto Islands channels are a fun way to spend a few hours exploring.

On a rough day, this can be challenging near the shore as you get closer to the rapids. This is due to the boat waves.

Here’s one of the most relaxing, leisurely trips you can take in a kayak in Toronto. Along the Rouge, which runs along Scarborough’s east border, you may feel as if you’re a hundred miles away from the city (aside from the traffic of the 401 and a golf course). A good choice for paddling beginners, with its calm water and often shallow depths. Nature fans can bask in the sights of all kinds of rare tree species, as well as wildlife like deer, beavers, coyotes and herons.

Saugeen Concession 4 to Bruce Road County Road 17(2hrs)This Canoe launch is popular with those looking for a good five to six-hour day trip ending at Denny's Dam in Southampton. Further downstream, the river is braided by sandy, treed islands, which are the remnants of a former delta. These islands dot this section of the river and help create some exciting small rapids. Try some of the alternate routes through these islands for sense of adventure. The banks are lined with family farms dating back to the mid-1800. The canoe launch parking lot is found on the right side of the river.Bruce County Road 17 (Thede’s Bridge) to Bruce County Road 3 - (2hrs)This is perhaps the most popular starting point for day tripping on the Saugeen River. A trip from here lasts about four hours with time to stop for lunch. From the bridge, the river almost enters Port Elgin. Look for the town's water tower and other tall buildings before the river turns you back towards Southampton. A few very large forested islands sit along this section. About halfway through, Mill Creek empties into the Saugeen, making a hotspot for anglers. Near the end of this portion, the right bank rises to become a tree-lined cliff a kilometer so before the next bridge.Bruce County Road 3 (Shanks Bridge) to Denny's Dam / Denny's Dam to Lake Huron (2hrs)At the canoe launch at Bruce Road 3, one can see the past and present come together. The old one-lane iron bridge, which used to carry the road over the river, sits at rest while its modern cousin now supports the large traffic volume that passes over this section of the Saugeen. The old bridge is still safe for pedestrian traffic and affords some scenic views of the river ahead. One of the most scenic river sections. Rapids start to appear as the banks progressively rise to heights of 150 ft. The rapids located on this stretch of the Saugeen are numerous, but small and safe. Although there is one set of very exciting rapids that will give even the most experienced paddlers a fulfilling adrenalin rush. After which, the river slows and bends more and more. It almost becomes an oxbow in style before it finally reaches Denny's dam. The take-out point is on the left bank just above the dam.Note: Washrooms are of the outside (yuck) variety.

Ellengowan to Downtown Paisley (3hrs)The first section before Paisley passes through more mixed farm and forest. Shortly after the Ellengowan bridge is McBeath Conservation Area. McBeath is a river-access-only park that offers camping, picnicking and washroom facilities to the public by donation. McBeath is a popular overnight stop for any multi day trip. From McBeath, the river takes a winding path to Paisley, coming right up beside the town and then swinging back away before making its way into the village. The village of Paisley was settled on the Saugeen River over a century ago, and the river still remains a focal point of the town. Several canoe docks line the river as it travels through the heart of the town. One of these is the Rotary Park: a scenic campground in downtown Paisley. For those looking for a lunch break, a canoe dock is situated just bellow the restored Fire Hose Tower, before the set of bridges in Paisley. A sign has been placed at this dock giving directions to the town's many services and quaint shops.Downtown Paisley to North end of Paisley (1hrs)Proceeding past this dock and under the bridge, paddlers will note the Teeswater River flowing over a dam and joining the Saugeen. Imagine this same perspective when the Queens Bush was becoming settled with families floating all their possessions on wooden rafts down the river to this same junction of the two rivers. Shortly downstream, the North Saugeen also joins the main River. The Teeswater and the North Saugeen are great tributaries to paddle in the high water of spring. Observant paddlers will notice a dike that encircles half the town. That dike shows just how high the river can get! Finally upon exiting Paisley, paddlers will pass under Bruce county Road 3 and come to an popular canoe launch at the north end of Paisley.North end of Paisley to Saugeen Concession 4 (2hrs)After leaving this canoe launch behind, the Saugeen picks up speed slightly and winds its way down to the Saugeen Bluffs Conservation Area. Through this trip, paddlers will notice the river's banks becoming progressively higher until they peak at about 100-115 ft. at the Saugeen Bluffs. The Saugeen Bluffs Conservation Area is a good place to spend the night or just have a lunch break. The Conservation Area offers several canoe launch sites beside the river for canoe trippers for a reasonable fee. The sites book fast during the Summer Season, so reservations are recommended. After leaving the conservation area, the high bluffs descend back to smaller banks in a forested setting. Within 45 minutes of leaving the park, paddlers will reach a one-lane iron bridge referred to by locals as 'Turner's Bridge' on which Saugeen Concession 4 crosses the Saugeen. The canoe launch is located on the left-hand side of the river directly under the bridge.Note: No washrooms except for maybe stopoffs on the shore (yuck).

Lobies park to Brant Concession 8 (3hrs)This is the longest section of the Saugeen River uninterrupted by bridges. With that sense of remoteness and the great swifts in this section it's a favorite among locals for floating on down the river on a hot summer day. The river winds out of Walkterton around several islands. In the spring paddlers may choose one of several channels around these scenic islands but as summer goes on it is wise to stay to the deeper main channel. In the couple km out of Walkerton the river travels through a marshy area with several overhanging trees and wildlife. The Saugeen meanders through a broad valley between densely forested hills. In places, the river actually cuts into these hills, creating tall clay-sand bluffs, which provide a home for thousands of swallows, kingfishers, and other cliff-dwelling birds. As the river carves its way throughout these bluffs, it becomes constricted, creating some of the most exciting rapids on the river. While these rapids are not difficult or dangerous, they do provide excitement to the novice and veteran paddlers alike.Approaching the bridge on the Brant Concession 8, the bluffs diminish and give way to mixed farmland and forest. In this area it is possible to see deer and fox along the banks.Brant Concession 8 to Brant Concession 10 (2hrs)As the Saugeen progresses toward Lake Huron, the woodlands and bluffs of the upper areas give way to the rolling farmland of the middle sections. It is common to see cattle, horses and other livestock coming down to the river for a drink. The river slowly meanders through this mixed agricultural and forested land, this mixed habitat is ideal for the deer populations in the area and therefore sittings are common. A set of power-lines crosses the river in this section. These mark the halfway point of the Hanover-Southampton portion of the Saugeen River.Note: There are no washrooms except for maybe stopoffs on the shore (yuck).

You can enter the Minesing Swamp via Willow Creek, at the NVCA parking lot off George Johnston Road south of Minesing. Early spring is the best time, before the bugs are out and while there is plenty of water. Once in the swamp it is easy to get disoriented. Basically you go west until you are past the level of the heronry, then turn north. You can also landmark the border between the Swamp and the Nottawasaga River as the River has densely tree-lined banks. Once you have turned north, you paddle parallel to the Nottawasaga for a while, then join the river by looping out east a bit before turning west. Some kind soul has placed markers at key points. It's a great relief to see them after feeling lost for so long. Watch for the muskrats living inside the hollowed out dead trees. Often they'll drag green grass up to the top of the stump and sun themselves while eating. In the spring the Swamp is like a moonscape, a dead forest filled with 12 feet of water. There is plenty of wildlife, mostly waterfowl and muskrats. The paddling is easy, the only hard part is not getting lost. If you take your time it is about 4-5 hours to Edenvale. The fellow at the Edenvale garage has many stories of having to go in to get someone. Cell phone reception is pretty good and a whistle is never a bad idea. Happy paddling!

~5 hours (travel time not included)Note: Important to be there for 9:45 am to start paddling at 11 am.

This is where one's spirit and happiness will be uplifted as one drifts down a beautiful river.

Get all the necessary stuff required; sunscreen, hats, water, lipdew, lunch, some snacks/lunch, plastic bag for garbage, bag to carry stuff in the kayak (may get wet), ziplock bags for stuff you don't want to get wet, wet ones/tissues (no washrooms except for trees), water shoes, towel, change of clothes plus (if you want) some extra water to wash down after kayaking. They will provide kayaks, PFDs and paddles. Need to sign waiver forms.

When we arrive in Schoonertown at Wasaga Beach, you must pick out a suitable PFD, sign a form and pay them in cash (also go to the nice little outhouse (yuck). They will then drive us out to our starting location and give a little advice about paddling.

Starting at Hammelville (4 hours) or Schooner Town (2 hours), we will paddle downstream and end up back at Schoonertown at Wasaga Beach.

The Nottawasaga River is a river in Simcoe County and Dufferin County in Central Ontario, Canada.[1] It is part of the Great Lakes Basin, and is a tributary of Lake Huron. The river flows from the Orangeville Reservoir in the town of Orangeville, Dufferin County, through the Niagara Escarpment[2] and the Minesing Wetlands, the latter a wetland of international significance (Ramsar Convention site), and empties into Nottawasaga Bay, an inlet of Georgian Bay on Lake Huron, at the town of Wasaga Beach, Simcoe County.

Note: Washrooms are of the outside (yuck) variety.

Dam Pub (53 Bruce St S Thornbury, ON N0H 2P0, (519) 599-2110, www.thedampub.ca) – Nice atmosphere with bad service. Nice wings and crab cakes. Didn't like the expensive bruschetta. Consistently excellent fish and chips. Bangers and mash good but very simple. Good Chicken Supreme. Fantastic Apple Pie. Nice Banana Foster, Chocolate Raspberry Torte and Chocolate dessert, but expensive – watered down pop.Ted's Range Road Diner (Grey Rd. 112, RR1, Meaford - 2KM North of HWY 26 on Grey Rd. 112 (http://www.meaford.com/rrdiner.htm) – Pretty far drive. Very good home cooked meals with home grown vegetables in a barn type structure. Service not great with excellent fish (Splake and White Fish). Very good duck (nice size portion) and Rhonda liked the mushroom caps with seafood (Mike didn't) and the potato roesti. The pasta side dish all right but cold. Pie was nice and homemade but the first piece we were given was burnt.

Beginner ParkourWednesday 7pm and Sunday 11am

The Monkeyvault is a place dedicated to movement and all other things come as byproducts to learning how to move better. Parkour, Freerunning, Tricking, Gymnastics, Breakdancing, Circus Arts, Stunt training, whatever you want to call what you do and for whatever reason you come here, the base of each remains the same. Each requires discipline; each requires proper training. That's why this place exists! That's why the people inside it train so passionately! This place was created to inspire others to reach newer and higher levels, push people past their previous boundaries, and allow them to prove to themselves what they are made of. We all have monkeys inside us, but as we grow older this feeling, this passion for movement dies away. It shouldn`t.

Beginner ParkourThese classes focus on getting adults 18+ back into the habit of playing and moving around. It is a slower pace than some of our other classes designed specifically for those that haven't been so active lately OR come to our space before OR people with past/present injuries. Lower impact and very progressive in nature, we work on the strength, flexibility, coordination, spacial awareness, and other skills needed to play and move onto other classes!.

Year roundDays: ThursdaysTime: 3 p.m. – 7 p.m.

Dufferin Grove Park has had a year-round farmers’ market since November of 2002. This makes it one of the oldest farmers’ markets in Toronto!

What began as a collaboration between three local organic farmers, interested community members, and City of Toronto staff at the park, quickly grew. Thanks to special food programs such as wood-fired oven baking (developed by CELOS ; Centre for Local Research into Public Space), the market fostered a special warm heart and unique atmosphere, allowing it to thrive.

From the beginning, the market’s focus has been to foster direct connections between local organic farmers and urban eaters, through a welcoming weekly gathering. With well over 30 vendors during peak season, the market offers an exceptional selection of local produce, meats, dairy, fair-trade and wild options, as well as other farm products. City-based food producers further build upon our local farm connections by using local ingredients in their prepared foods.

Join us at the market to find out just how tasty your local and sustainable food system can be!

OUR MISSIONThe Leslieville Farmers’ Market increases access to and awareness of local and seasonal food.IN OTHER WORDS…We want to help our neighbours buy their food directly from its source (and get to know them by name)! To learn something you never knew, from people you’ve never met. We want your taste buds to dance when you try a tomato that is so jam-packed with flavour, you’ll wonder what you were eating before. To savour amazing treats filled with ingredients even your toddler can pronounce. To take comfort in the fact that your organic salad greens did not come from California, 3513 km away, but 35 minutes North West of the 427. But most importantly we want to help grow a strong community around great health, people, environmental stewardship and food. A community which values the hard working men and women who provide us with some of the most delectable (and sustainably produced!) pleasures of life.

Public shows begin with a general introduction to the night sky, including famous constellations and apparent motions of celestial objects, followed by an indepth presentation on the particular theme of the public show. All shows are live and interactive, so you can ask a question at any time during the presentation.

Our private shows are geared toward educating the audience about the Earth and its relationship to the Solar System and the rest of the Universe. Show material will depend on the age and nature of the audience. When appropriate, current events in the skies of Hamilton will be described and illustrated. Shows typically last about an hour, depending on the interest and age of the audience. Emphasis of the first section of the show is on constellations (dominated by those up at the current time of the year) including the Dippers and North Star. The second section of the show takes you on a tour of the planets in our Solar System. Along the way, other fascinating objects inside and outside of our own Galaxy are also shown if time and interest permit.

Ensure that the video resolution is at least 640 x 480 (we will play the clips on a 47” tv using Windows Media Player). The Big NightWe will assemble to watch the nominated clips. After all of the clips have been played within a category, each guest will rank them and we will declare a winner – of course you can vote for your own clip and ties remain ties. Winners will be applauded, smiled at, harassed, cajoled and generally derided – but you will have won bragging rights for the best clip for that category.

An amazing duo from Brampton. They perform current and (with enough advance notice) some older pop songs as well. The beautiful and easy singing voice of Sabrina is coupled with the skillful guitar playing by Nichaela. Their comfortable and likeable stage presence ensured the concert was a hit with all of our friends. Highly recommended.

Two teams, each person writes down on 10 different pieces of paper any word or short phrase and they are put into a hat. Round 1 – Each person has 60 seconds to have their

team guess as many words/short phrases as possible by talking about the words/short phrases and the only restriction being to not say the actual word. No skipping words/short phrases. If the last word/short phrase is not guessed correctly by the team, the opposing team is allowed one guess to steal a point – then the answer is revealed even if not guessed correctly.

Round 2 – The words/short phrases are put back into the hat and everything is the same except no talking is allowed, only acting.

Round 3 – The words/short phrases are put back into the hat and everything is the same except no talking or acting is allowed, only striking a single pose.

Activity Contact Info Cost Duration/Time Description RestaurantsMinions Domination GameNote from Mike and Rhonda – We have not played this activity.

65 Olde Town Road, Brampton, Ontario905-796-5147

Free ~2 hours (travel time not included)

GoalTo claim the most number of rooms within 10 rounds.Initial Setup There are 2 levels (upper hall and lower hall levels) with a total of 7 rooms

(Dining Room, Living Room, Kitchen, Great Room, Sports Bedroom, Green Bedroom and Upper Bathroom).

Divide into two teams (Team Bad 1 and Team Bad 2) and choose a Grand Superior for each team. The Grand Superior will orchestrate all the moves for that team. The rest of the team are minions. At least 4 people are required per team and teams must be equal in number (a minion doll may be substituted for a real person to even out the teams).

Choose a team name. For the beginning of the war, everyone will congregate on the stairs

between the upper and lower halls. All rooms are neutral at the beginning of the war.Rounds There are 10 rounds. During a round, all players (minions and Grand Superiors) have the ability

to move to an adjacent hallways or room. The Grand Superior will let each one of his minions know where they will be moving to, without letting the other team know of their plans (discussions and downright arguments by the minions as to where they think they should go are encouraged). Then, during the play of the round, all players will move at the same time. Valid moves include: Move between the upper hall and lower hall levels. Note that the only

move for the first round will be for the Grand Superior to move players to either the upper hall or the lower hall.

Move to/from the upper hall and into one of the upper rooms (Great Room, Sports Bedroom, Green Bedroom and Upper Bathroom). Therefore, when moving from one room to another room on the upper floor, the player must move to the upper hall first.

Move to/from the lower hall and into one of the lower rooms (Dining Room, Living Room and Kitchen). Therefore, when moving from one room to another room on the lower floor, the player must move to the lower hall first.

Stay in the same room or hallway. To claim a room, a team must move the most players into that room. Once a

room is claimed, the team that claims it must shout at the top of their lungs, “The [insert name of room] is claimed by [insert team name]. The [insert opposing team name] are a bunch of losers.” If both teams move the same number of players into that room, then it is a tie and the room remains neutral. Once a room is claimed, it remains that team’s room until the other

team claims it or the room becomes neutral again due to both teams having the same number of players in it. Therefore, the team that claimed that room can move all of players out of the room and still retain the claim on that room if the other team does not put any players in that room on the next round.

Note going to the washroom in the upper bathroom does not count as claiming it.

Maybe the Grand Superiors are allowed to move to any room without having to use the hallways. But, they must move before the minions to avoid cheating (as the minions move they could realize that they made a mistake, change their mind and move to a more advantageous room)

WinnerThe team with the greatest number of claimed rooms after 10 rounds wins the war.

Free ~4-6 hours (travel time not included)

After wandering around the Brampton countryside (filled with the delightful sounds of babbling brooks, mournful songs of birds, passing transport trucks, clanging trains and roaring airplanes) for many minutes, the thought occurred to us for the perfect competition. So, we would like to invite you to the Iron Chef Sandwich Challenge. Your goal will be to create the ultimate…sandwich! All of us have, at some point in our lives, found that perfect combination of ingredients which allow us to experience that unbelievable feeling of joy when we bite into our favourite sandwich. Deliver that taste.

Since it’s in Brampton, the rules will be a little different. The main restriction for the sandwich is that it must

contain bread (Rhonda’s rule) A wrap ain’t a sandwich (see next page) You can bring any secret ingredient you wish or use

just the house ingredients.

The itinerary will be as follows1. There will be 1 person creating their sandwiches at

one time.2. You will have a time limit of 15 minutes total to

create two identical sandwiches including any prep work, cooking, and assembling and plating with all the garnishes.

3. After creating their ultimate sandwich, each chef will present their sandwich to the teams of judges. This presentation can include tidbits like a brief description of the sandwich, the sandwich name, why you chose this sandwich, history of the sandwich and even an explanation on how to eat the sandwich.

4. The sandwich will then be divided and judges will then taste the sandwich. The sandwich will then be given a rating out of 10 from each of the judging teams for each of the following categories: Taste (10 points) Presentation (10 points)Note: The judging teams will be made up of teams and you can vote for your own sandwich (we trust everyone will be fair).
