Complete Rehabilitation with Minimаlly Invasive Adhesive RestorationsA female patient was transferred to us in 2013. She needed a complete treatment of worn out, sensitive teeth, as well as aesthetic improvement. During the examination we found abraded and eroded teeth with about 40% uncovert dentin surfaces, carious lesions and a lowering in the bite height.

Diagnosis: Abrasio dentis, Erosio dentis

Treatment plan :Clinical oral hygienePreparation and diagnostics - wax-up, mock-up of the upper front teethDirect composite restoration of the upper teethNight guardDirect composite restoration of the lower teethNight guardThe mock-up /Prevision Temp – Heraeus Kulzer/ was done based on the wax model from the laboratory. The aim was to evaluate the form and the size of the teeth and their correlation with the soft tissues. A silicon key for the upper and the lower frontal teeth was manufactured Based on the same model. The treatment of the upper teeth was completed in two days. On the first day we recreated the occlusal surfaces and the cervical defects in all molars and premolars with minimally invasive adhesive direct restorations. On the second day we recreated the frontal teeth with the help of the silicon key /Elite HD+ Light body - Zhermack/. Filtek Ultimate 3M ESPE was used – A3D for the dentin, A2B and A2E for the enamel. We used Optibond FL - Kerr as an adhesive. This phase was completed with the elaboration of a lower teeth soft splint to be used for one month. We did the final polishing using Soflex Disks – 3M ESPE and Prisma Gloss - Dentsply. After a month we recreated the lower teeth in the same way, using a silicon key for the front teeth. A new soft splint was manufactured for the lower teeth.The anatomic form of all teeth and the bite height were restored as a result of the treatment. We also eliminated the sensibility of the hard tissues and the functions and the aesthetics were greatly improved.
