Luke arranges his material to highlight Jesus’ radical, inclusive love for all who embrace Him.
Listening to the teaching of Jesus is the most important component of discipleship because it determines how one should serve.

Re: reading the Gospels The stories and details that the
Gospel writers include are important. The order in which they place their
stories are important as well. Luke didn’t arrange his Gospel
chronologically. Why does Luke put this story where
he puts it?

The Message—“Martha, dear Martha, you’re fussing far too much and getting yourself worked up over nothing. One thing only is essential, and Mary has chosen it—it’s the main course, and won’t be taken from her.”
God’s Single-Minded Heart God’s heart is single-minded. He wants
to be God towards those who love Him. God says, “There’s no higher way to love me than to sit at my feet and listen to me. I reward those who genuinely seek me. I want you to know my voice. I want to lead you. I want to be your Shepherd. I want to be your King.”

The Good News is that God gets what He’s always longed for, relationship
with a people who hear and respond to Him as their King!
