Who Is Nelson Mandela, and How Did He Make A Difference?

Nelson Mandela was born on July 18, 1918, and died on December 5, 2013.

He was born in Mvezo, South Africa. Nelson Mandela was a leader, he made a huge

difference in the world. He was devoted champion for peace and social

justice in his own nation and around the world.

Nelson Mandela’s Parents His mother was, Nonqaphi Nosekeni His father was, Nkosi Mphakanyiswa Gadla

Mandela. Nelson’s father was principal counselor to the

Acting King of the Thembu people, Jongintaba Dalindyebo.

Nelson’s mother died in 1968 while Nelson was in prison.

he was accused of betrayal by the South African government. 

He was in jail for 27 years He was jailed at the Robben Island Prison After his release, Nelson became president for
