When you say 'From field', do you mean the header that looks like

From: [email protected]

or

From [email protected] Sat Apr 10 00:48:53 1999

(basically, the envelope sender or the From: header)?

I can try installing it on one of the Octanes or O2s that we've gothere over the weekend or early next week to see if the problem isIrix specific or not (unless someone out there wants to save mea lot of work and has this working under Irix 6.2).

We have some features here and at my company (both use Apache and Mailman)that are extra like SSI, but nothing too exciting. But just forgiggles, I went ahead and installed a virgin Apache 1.3.6 on another machine(as auto-generated by the ./configure script in the Apache source). Ionly made the following changes to my system (Linux 2.0.36):

o NFS-mounted /home/staff/mailman as /home/staff/mailman o Added passwd/group entries for mailman o Changed nobody uid/gid to 65534 to match mailman settings

Then I added these directives to httpd.conf *exactly* as they appearbelow.

Order deny,allow Deny from all

Allow from all Options SymLinksIfOwnerMatch ExecCGI

ScriptAlias /mailman/ /home/staff/mailman/cgi-bin/

Everything was peachy. So it's either an Irix thing, or something isfunky with your Mailman or Apache configuration.
