Методическая разработка урока «Music festivals» с применением технологии сотрудничества по дисциплине «Английский язык»

Аннотация

Методическая разработка открытого урока на тему «Музыкальные фестивали» подготовлена для студентов третьего курса НОКИ им. С.В. Рахманинова, обучающихся по специальностям:

53.02.03 «Инструментальное исполнительство»;53.02.04 «Вокальное искусство»;53.02.06 «Хоровое дирижирование»;53.02.07 «Вокальное искусство».Предлагаемое занятие нацелено на формирование у студентов навыков

практического владения английским языком по вышеуказанной теме и составлено в соответствии с рабочей программой по дисциплине.

В ходе урока используются различные методы обучения: репродуктивный, коммуникативный. Эти методы позволяют реализовать поставленные цели и задачи урока. По ходу урока осуществляются повторение и закрепление знания лексических единиц по вышеуказанной теме, развитие навыков чтения, диалогической и монологической речи. Также осуществляются междисциплинарные связи с целью формирования профессиональных компетенций.

Для реализации принципа наглядности, доступности и системности изложения материала на уроке используется презентация, выполненная в Power Point. Привлечение наглядного материала стимулирует развитие мыслительной и творческой активности учащихся и обеспечивает повышение эффективности усвоения материала по теме.

Подобранный учебный материал позволяет расширить общий кругозор обучающихся.

Для организации данного учебного занятия необходимы технические ресурсы: ноутбук, мультимедийный проектор, экран, мультимедийная презентация и раздаточный материал.

Цели урока: расширение знаний по теме «Musical life in Great Britain»; совершенствование умений поискового чтения и говорения в диалогической и

монологической форме.Задачи урока: развивать коммуникативные навыки студентов при работе в группах; развивать познавательный интерес учащихся к стране изучаемого языка; развивать внимание, память, мышление студентов в ходе работы над лексикой,

при осуществлении поискового чтения и говорения.

You are quite right. The theme of our lesson is «Music festivals of Great Britain» I hope it will be very interesting to speak about some places in the UK where different kinds of music festivals are held and about different possibilities to spend free time there.

You have not more than 7 minutes to do the task.Text 1 Cambridge Folk Festival is one of the longest running festivals of its kind. Paul Simon, who played at the first one in 1964, paved the way for many more popular musicians, such as Nick Cave and Billy Bragg. The festival takes place at Cherry Hinton Hall to the south of the city each July and spans across four days. To stay for the whole duration would cost you around £120. It’s a family friendly festival, and other attractions include crafts workshops and food from around the world. Text 1.

Text 2The Glyndebourne Festival is held at Glyndebourne, an English country house, in East Sussex in England. The festival, which is run by the Christie family, began in 1934 and takes place annually over a few months in the summer. The festival’s focus is opera music. It includes performances of productions originating from the 17th to the 20th century. Famous opera singers who have performed at the festival include Melly Still and Michael Grandage. Visitors to the festival are encouraged to enjoy the beautiful surroundings in which the house is situated and soak up the wonderful atmosphere. Ticket prices vary depending on which performance you want to see and when.Text 2.

Text 3 Reading festival, which started out in the 70s in Berkshire, has become a major rock festival in Britain, and has been headlined by musical legends such as The Jam, The Who, Pink Floyd and Guns N’ Roses. Due to increasing demand, which exceeded the capacity of the Reading festival site, another venue in the north of England was opened in the 90s to accommodate the vast number of people wanting to attend. In recent years, the festival, now commonly referred to as the ‘Reading and Leeds festival’, has taken place each August in two locations – Bramham Park in Leeds and Richfield Avenue in Reading – each one with the same line-up performing at different times. The Alternative Stage offers comedy and other cabaret acts and provides high-class entertainment for visitors wanting something a bit different during the three-day event, which costs about £200.Text 3.

Text 4 The Bath Festival began in 1948. The roots go back still further: Queen Elizabeth I came to hear choirs sing at Bath Abbey in 1668. It is the longest running Festival held in the City. Previously known as The Bath International Music Festival, it was relaunched in 2017 as The Bath Festival. This was due to it being a new multi-arts festival for the city.It takes place annually over two weeks in late May to early June. It features a wide range of music events. From classical to jazz and folk supported with films, talks and dance projects. The programme takes place mainly in city venues and also includes free-to-the-public outdoor events. This festival has a ‘Pay as you go’ way of seeing the acts you would like to see. You simply pay for the things you want to see! Prices range depending on who the act is.

Throughout Bath Festival’s history their main purpose has been to involve all people. Featured musicians range from international stars to local artists, both professional and amateur. For more than half a century the greatest names in music, ballet and art have queued up to appear at the Bath International Music Festival. People like Yehudi Menuhin, Rudolf Nureyev, Vera Lynn and Francis Bacon have all been seen and heard in the halls, theatres and galleries of the honey-stoned Georgian city of Bath.

The Three Choirs Festival is a week-long programme of choral and orchestral concerts, cathedral services, solo and chamber music recitals, masterclasses, talks, theatre, exhibitions and walks, rotating each summer between the beautiful English cathedral cities of Hereford, Gloucester and Worcester. It is the oldest non-competitive classical music festival in the world, which celebrated its 300th anniversary in 2015. Today the festival remains one of very few with the major choral repertoire at its heart, with a natural emphasis on composers with local links, headed by the remarkable cluster of Parry, Elgar, Holst, Vaughan


Williams and Howells. The festival large-scale choral repertoire is now performed by the Three Choirs Festival Chorus and the Philharmonia Orchestra, which has been resident at the festival since 2012. But the festival also features other major ensembles and international soloists. In 2010, the Three Choirs Festival Youth Choir was formed. Made up of singers aged 16–25, it has performed at every festival since then, under a variety of conductors. The main festival’s packed schedule of daytime events is augmented by a community programme which varies slightly in style in each city.Around 1000 people attend every year different parts of this week long festival. All events are ticketed; some require purchase and others are free. Thanks to the support of the CAVATINA Chamber Music Trust, 8-25 year olds can claim free tickets to some chamber music events.Text 5

4. ИТОГИ ЗАНЯТИЯ, РЕФЛЕКСИЯ.Учитель благодарит учащихся за работу, оценивает работу групп и предлагает закончить занятие сочинением синквейна на тему «Музыкальный фестиваль».

Первая строка – существительное, тема синквейна. Вторая строка – два прилагательных, раскрывающих тему

синквейна. Третья строка – три глагола, описывающих действия,

характерные для данного предмета или явления. Четвертая строка – законченное высказывание, выражающее

отношение автора синквейна к теме. Пятая строка – резюме, вывод, выражающий личное
