About Princeton in Africa• Our Mission:

– To develop young leaders committed to Africa’s advancement.

• What We Do to Achieve It:– We match bright, talented, recent college

graduates – passionate about Africa and committed to service – with organizations doing meaningful work across the continent for yearlong fellowships.

Princeton in Africa’s Growth• Founded in 1999 by Princeton alums

– That summer, 2 Fellows worked with the Int’l Rescue Committee in Rwanda

• Since then, we have placed more than 300 Fellows in 34 countries with 50+ partner organizations

• Rigorous selection process today– Last year 420 applications, ~11% selected– Now open to graduates from colleges &

universities across the United States– Program offered on a need-blind basis
