Cancer Council NT’s Nicola Brien said Katherine Fruit and Veg raised over $1,150 and fundraising volunteers at Woolworths raised more than $800 - much-needed funds for those suffering from can- cer. “A huge thank you to everyone who hosted and attended events across Katherine,” Ms Brien said. “It was wonderful to see our community come together and the enthusiasm and efforts our hosts went to show what special people we have in our town.” Ms Brien said the first ever Biggest Morning Tea Bingo - which was hosted by the Katherine Com- munity Radio 8KTR - was also great success in support of the good cause. “The money raised will most cer- tainly help our work - to help cancer patients - to continue,” Ms Brien said. THOUSANDS of dollars wereraised during more then 30 MorningTeas in Katherine.
