DETAILED PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Day 1 – Tuesday 27 March 2018.

Cape Town - London

Afternoon /Evening

Meet at Cape Town International Airport to catch your flight to London. This will probably be with Emirates, Qatar or Turkish Airlines. I get the quotes and we decide on the best option. I will also ask SAA, BA and other for quotes.

Overnight

On the plane.


Day 2 – Wednesday 28 March 2018.

London – Cambridge - Arrive and Practice.

Breakfast / Morning

Arrive at Heathrow International Airport. Met by your Coach Driver and Representative of Gullivers Sports Travel. https://gulliverstravel.co.uk/ Transfer to Cambridge.

Lunch / Afternoon

Practice Sessions – 2 Hour Astro Hire is included.: Check in to your Hotel for the next 2 nights.

Evening / Dinner

Dinner is at the Hotel or Local Restaurant.

Overnight

3 * Hotel in Cambridge.

Day 3 – Thursday 29 March 2018.

Cambridge

Breakfast / Morning

Breakfast is at the Hotel. After breakfast do a Guided Walking Tour of Cambridge.

Lunch / Afternoon

Depart for your First Match of the Tour against a local school. The level / strength of the opposition will be selected carefully with the assistance of the Parel Vallei Teachers / Coaches. After Match Functions. Here you will mix / socialise after the matches and get the opportunity to meet new friends with different cultures and backgrounds.

Evening / Dinner

Dinner at Hotel or Nearby Restaurant. Rest of the evening at Leisure.

Overnight 3 * Hotel in Cambridge.


Day 4 – Friday 30 March 2018 (Easter Friday).

Cambridge - York

Breakfast / Morning

After breakfast depart for York.

Lunch / Afternoon

Afternoon visit to the Jorvik Viking Centre. Guided Tour. Check in to your Hotel for the next 2 nights.

Evening / Dinner


Overnight 3* Hotel in York.


Day 5 – Saturday 31 March 2018.

York

Breakfast / Morning

Breakfast at the Hotel. Spend the morning relaxing at the Hotel or the area surrounding the Hotel, before this afternoons matches.

Lunch / Afternoon

Depart for Match 2 of the Tour against a local School. After Match Functions.

Evening / Dinner


Overnight 3* Hotel in York.


Day 6 – Sunday 1 April 2018.

York - Oxford

Breakfast / Morning

Breakfast at the Hotel. Then depart with your Coach to Oxford.

Lunch / Afternoon

This afternoon you have a Guided Walking Tour of Oxford. Check in to your Hotel for one night.

Evening / Dinner

Dinner at Hotel or Local restaurant. Rest of evening at Leisure.

Overnight 3* Hotel in Oxford.


Day 7 – Monday 2 April 2018 (Easter Monday).

Oxford - Cardiff

Breakfast / Morning

Breakfast at the Hotel. Then Transfer by Coach to Cardiff.

Lunch / Afternoon

This afternoon we do a Guided Tour of the Principality Stadium. Check in to your Hotel for the next 2 nights.

Evening / Dinner

3* Hotel in Cardiff.


Day 8 – Tuesday 3 April 2018.

Cardiff

Breakfast / Morning

Breakfast at the Hotel. Then relax or explore the area around the Hotel.

Lunch / Afternoon

Depart for Match 3 of the Tour against a local School. After Match Functions

Evening / Dinner


Overnight 3* Hotel in Cardiff.


Day 9 – Wednesday 4 April 2018.

Cardiff - London

Breakfast / Morning

After breakfast, transfer by Coach to London.

Lunch / Afternoon

Check into your Hotel for the next 2 nights. Then use the Public Transport or walk to explore the area surrounding your Hotel. The Hotel will be in Central London. The 4 Zone Pass Costs £14 per person per day (Not included).

Day 10 – Thursday 5 April 2018.

London

Breakfast / Morning

Breakfast is at the Hotel. This morning you can visit The London Eye (not included - £15). From here you get the most beautiful panoramic views of London.

Lunch / Afternoon

This afternoon you play your 4th and last match against a Local School. After Match Function.

Evening / Dinner


Overnight 3* Hotel in London.


Day 11 – Friday 6 April 2018.

London - Dubai

Breakfast / Morning

Breakfast at the Hotel. Check out and leave luggage at the Hotel. Spend the last morning viewing the last of what London has to offer.

Lunch / Afternoon

Meet at Hotel, collect luggage and transfer to Heathrow International Airport for your flight back home.

Evening / Dinner

On Plane.

Overnight On Plane.


DAY 12 – Saturday 7 April 2018.

Dubai - Cape Town

Breakfast / Morning

Arrive back home at Cape Town International Airport.

• Price is based on per person sharing in 3* Hotels. If Hostels, then R33 995.

• Price is based on an exchange rate of R17.00 to the British Pound (April 2017) and is subject to change.

• Price is based on flight estimates of R12 000 including Airport Taxes, as actual prices only become available 330 days in advance!

• Price is based on 32 paying players and 4 teachers.

• All accommodation in 3 * Hotels is on a sharing basis and approved by Blue Jeans Travel. If in Hostels the price is R33 995.

• 24 Hour on call from a Gullivers Sports Travel Representative.

MATCHES

• Arrangement of 4 hockey fixtures per team versus suitable hockey schools. If fixtures are a problem over Easter we may play against a club. Also included is the Astro Hire for a 2 Hour Practise Session on day 2.

INSURANCE • Bidvest Group Medical and Liability Insurance of R25 Million per

person.

AIRPORT TAX • Airport taxes are included and subject to change.

EXCURSIONS • All Guided Tours are included. Most of London is for free.

GIFT • Each touring member receives a free Blue Jeans Travel backpack.

PRICE EXCLUDES

VISAS • You are required to get your own UK Visa. Blue Jeans Travel will

assist with this. The cost is £87 + admin fee. Around R1 600.

EXTRAS

• Any item not listed in the itinerary above.

• Other meals, excursions, tips, transport or services not mentioned or mentioned as optional. Lunch will be about £5 (R85) per day. Personal expenses, Excess baggage, etc.

Suggested Payment Schedule:

Deposit – R6000 on or before 30 May 2017. (5 June 2017). Payment 2 – R6000 on or before 30 August 2017. Payment 3 – R6000 on or before 30 October 2017. Payment 4 – R6000 on or before 30 February 2018. Final payment on or before 30 May 2018. This payment will be determined by the 2 variables, namely the flight price as well as the exchange rate as put out in the Agreement between Blue Jeans Travel and xxxxxxxxxxxx High School.
