(for discrete manufacturing) systems from Siemens AG; Advanced planning and scheduling systems (APS) from Preactor International; Production Lifecycle Management software (PLM) solutions (Tecnomatix) from Siemens PLM Software; and Tool Data Management solution (TDM) by TDM Systems.

We offer a broad-based approach to manufacturing optimization. At the moment, more projects have been implemented in the discrete manufacturing. Our solutions are applicable to such areas as: Engineering and instrumentation, Aviation, Space exploration, Petroleum and Chemical industry, Light and food industries, and Logistics. To date, most of the projects were implemented in engineering, aviation and aerospace industry.

Process manufacturing is the branch of manufacturing that is associated with formulas and manufacturing recipes, and can be contrasted with discrete manufacturing, which is concerned with bills of material and routing.

Discrete manufacturing varies from Process Manufacturing. In discrete manufacturing, the manufacturing floor works off orders to build something. Examples include toys, medical equipment, computers, cars. The resulting products are easily identifiable. In process manufacturing, the products are undifferentiated, for example oil, natural gas and salt. Discrete manufacturing is often characterized by individual or separate unit production. Units can be produced in low volume with very high complexity or high volumes of low complexity. Low volume/high complexity production results in the need for an extremely flexible manufacturing system that can improve quality and time-to-market speed while cutting costs. High volume/low complexity production puts high premiums on inventory controls, lead times and reducing or limiting materials costs and waste.

Industries, we work with:

• Automobile production

• Aerospace

• Carriage building and rail

• Metal

• Manufacture of plastic products

• Shipbuilding

Company News

Russian Consulting and Engineering company Intenta Blew up the Market of Manufacturing IT solutions based on the Results of 2012

Minsk (Belarus, CIS) – Nizhny Novgorod (Russia), January 5th, 2013 - Russian consulting and engineering company Intenta (within SITEK Group), an integrator of Manufacturing IT software, announces an increased sales impact by 2.5 times from 2011 to 2012 year. Marketing emphasis was on selling which was a real breakthrough among IT companies that offer integration services and manufacturing automation software products in Russia and Eastern Europe. This testifies the receipt of the first position in the rating of «The most efficient Russian and Eastern European integrators of Manufacturing IT» during the last two years. Intenta is a part of SITEK Group of companies, an Engineering partner and Competence Center of SIEMENS AG since the late 90's and SIEMENS MES-systems` Competence Center in the CIS since 2008. Alexander Kosyanenko, Director of Intenta and the Head of MES department in SITEK Group of companies, noted that the financial indicators of the company showed growth and would strive to reach 10 million Euro of annual turnover in 2014.

According to the recent market research of Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Market – Global Forecast and Analysis (2011-2016): (Process and Discrete Manufacturing Industries) - published by MarketandMarkets, the MES market was estimated to be worth $4.7 billion in 2011 and to reach $8.9 billion by 2016 at a CAGR of 13.6% from 2011 to 2016. In APAC, China and India are considered to be the growth engines for the MES market. They are also carving a niche for themselves across the globe. Major MES developers are Invensys (U.K.), iBASEt (U.S.), Apriso (U.S.), Operator System (Denmark), Werum (Germany), SAP AG (Germany), Oracle (U.S.), etc. System integrators also offer MES, either by developing in-house or by procuring from MES developers. The major system integrators are Siemens AG (Germany), ABB (Switzerland), Rockwell (U.S.), GE Corporation (U.S.), Emerson Process Management (U.S.), Honeywell (U.S.), Omron (Japan).

The MES market is changing its phase from introduction to growth. Though MES was introduced in 1990, it took many years to launch it for commercial purposes. The features such as the increasing awareness about the benefits of MES and other Manufacturing IT, high productivity at reduced cost, and overall improvement in the process capability of the manufacturing unit increased the acceptability of MES

among the customers. MES market is expected to have a sustainable growth for more than five years. Manufacturing units have shifted to China and India to get the benefit of flower labor wages but these days labor cost in increasing, so there is a huge need for a system to tackle this problem. Thus, the demand for the MES system is very high in these countries to change the operations from manual to system oriented.

A similar trend is observed in Russia and CIS countries. The following features of the Russian and Central and Eastern Europe industries can be traced:

• Change in manufacturing mindset

• The need for transparency in the management of industrial processes

• Maintenance of high-volume production/ manufacturing

• Outburst in the computerization of industrial processes

• A new approach to the question of profitability

Alexander Kosyanenko, Director of Intenta, said: «If we see that a pool of interesting engineering projects have already been created in certain areas of Russia and the CIS and it certainly requires constant presence of our experts there (and back office support) then we would certainly reflect on the opening of representative offices. Now Perm (Russia) is the territory where we gained a sufficient pool of projects as well as a number of regions in the Central Federal District of Russia. Expansion of product line strongly depends on the needs of customers. For example, with one of our main partners and vendors, SIEMENS AG, we are negotiating about the possibility of inclusion of software in the field of automation of Power engineering systems in our product portfolio».

Technical center of Intenta is located in Minsk (Belarus, CIS). The Russian office will be opened in Nizhny Novgorod till the end of 2013.
