Update on Community Garden

• Discussions with Novato Live Well Network

• Lieb Property at 1521 hill Road

• Provide Staff direction whether to consider the Lieb Property for potential home for the Community Garden

• Discuss community outreach & potential next steps

• 2008 City began working with NLWN for the O’Hair Park Site

• Adjacent to Dogbone Meadow Dog Park

• 2011 DRC & Zoning Administrator Approval

• 2012 Lease Agreement Approved

• Discussion have been on-going from 2012 thru 2017

• NLWN waited for City direction on potential site in “Central Location”

• They have Not “Abandoned” O’Hair Site, NLWN’s effort has not “Failed”

• Minor improvements made to O’Hair Site

• Other Sites Considered

• Property vacant no later

• Staff has had formal

discussions with NLWN
