Rafael Nadal cruises into last 16 at French Open

Defending champion Rafael Nadal (pictured) easily defeated Argentine qualifier Eduardo

Schwank 6-1, 6-3, 6-4 on Saturday at the French Open.

Murray had been left fielding criticism from such as British legend Virginia Wade and French

champion Henri Leconte that he had acted in an unsportsmanlike manner in his win over Jarkko

Nieminen on Thursday.

The 30-year-old Ferrer, who has yet to make it past the quarter-finals at Roland Garros

despite being one of the best players on clay for the last few years, had Youzhny by the throat

from the start, winning the first set 6-0 and leading 2-0 in the second before the Russian got off

the mark.

Gasquet, who won 13 games in a row from 5-3 ahead in the second set to destroy Haas, will

next play Murray in a bid to reach the French Open last eight for the first time.

Use upper case for words here. Also you might want to replace some of the vocabularies as right now they look very easy for an intermediate student.

pen Aim of the game

Players stand on opposite sides of a net and use a stringed racket to hit a ball back and forth to each other.

Each player has a maximum of one bounce after it has been hit by their opponent to return the ball over the net and within the boundaries of the court.

Once a player fails to do any of these three things, their opponent wins a point. The aim is to win enough points to win a game, enough games to win a set and enough

sets to win a match.   How to keep score Tennis has an unusual scoring system. The first point in a game is called 15 and the next 30. So you'd think that the next point

should be 45 - but it isn't, it's 40. Said to have originated from quarters of a clock And the score of a player who has not won any points is not 'nil' or 'zero', but 'love'. said

to come from the French word oeuf, which means egg and is shaped like a zero. The server's score is always called first by the umpire. So if Player A is serving to Player B and Player B wins the point, the score is love-15. If Player A wins the next point the score is 15-all, and so on...

more about the French Open…

The clay courts at the French Open slow the ball down and make it bounce

higher.

Although the tournament consisted of mainly French players, an Englishman

happened to win it.

That changed in 1925, when it became an international event (that/which

was)open to all amateurs.
