Student Feedback mechanisms on Institutional

Governance/Faculty performance

Online students‟ feedback system on faculty

performance is in place. At the end of each semester,

all students appraise the performance of faculty in

various subjects on a 30-point scale. If the

performance is less than 22 points, the concerned

faculty members are counseled by the review

committee.

Faculty and staff can bring their grievances to the

notice of their respective Heads of the Departments.

Heads will address the issues, if they are within their

purview or else they will be addressed by the

Principal and Director.

Grievance redressal committee is in place. The

students can approach the committee for readdressal

of their grievances. The students can also directly

meet the Head of the Department, Deans, Principal

or Director for the redressal of their problems.

15 Infrastructural Information

Classroom/ Tutorial Room Facilities

Laboratory Details

Computer Center Facilities

The classrooms by design are highly interactive. Classrooms are equipped with latest audio-visual aids

such as LCD projectors and OHPs to make teaching–learning more interactive and effective.

Each department has computer centres with latest configuration systems. All the computers are

networked with 20 Mbps leased line with OFC back bone. Each faculty member is provided with a

desktop PC with internet connectivity.

Each Department has laboratories with all the

equipment and facilities as per the requirement.

The library has a total area of 1530 square meters

with a seating capacity of 450, reprographic and

networking facility. The library has 20551 titles,

98553 volumes, 135 National Journals and 91

International Journals. Library has subscribed to e-

journals as mandated by AICTE.

Each Department has a spacious seminar hall. The

Institute has an Auditorium with a seating capacity

of 1000 persons with audio visual aids.

Institute also has a media centre with a seating

capacity of 120 where conferences, workshops,

symposia are conducted.

Each room in all the hostels has been furnished with

cots, tables, chairs, book racks and a ceiling fan.

Parents and guardians of the students are being

provided accommodation in guest rooms on nominal

rent, whenever they visit the Institute and wish to

stay during their visits. They are also permitted to

use the mess facilities in the hostels. The faculties

visit regularly the hostels to ensure that the students

utilize their time on studies productively.
