Dear Internship Committee,

I am a 3rd year Mechanical Engineering student at College of E&ME, NUST, Rawalpindi. I have been

recently informed by the Placement Office of our college about the summer internship being offered atyour prestigious institute. I think I fit excellently on your criteria and would like you to consider this

letter and my resume as an application for the intern position at GIST.

I have a great passion for Computer Aided Designing and Manufacturing (CAD/CAM). I am expert in:

3D Modeling (Both technical and non- technical designs) Animation Kinematic Analysis Stress Analysis Photo-realistic rendering Design optimization Technical Drawing

I am also familiar with technical aspects of machinery. My highest CGPA in Mechanical Department

reflects the level of my engineering knowledge. I have done number of projects involving modeling,

simulation and technical design including:

1. Determination of critical points of piston and connecting rod liable to failure and theirrepresentation on Mohr circle

2. Designing and fabrication of projector based on Geneva mechanism3. Modelling and analysis of air plane for DBFC(GIKI annual airplane designing competition)

I am currently working with a team to compete in SAE Mini BAJA to be held in Korea this year. I havedesigned the suspension of the vehicle and also analysed it using stress analysis and drop test andoptimised it for best performance and least cost.

As CAD is also my hobby so in my leisure time I design random models. I have uploaded some of my

projects on GRABCAD (http://grabcad.com/zulkeefal/projects/public). Some of these are yet to be

completed.

I also have work experience with Engineering Drawings and 3D printing. I have worked as a freelancer. I

made 3D model for Conley Giles, an independent US inventor and founder of School of Invention, for 3D

printing. He was very pleased with the quality of my work(Recommendation letter from him will be

sent to you shortly).

Continuing this line of course, I want to learn the CAD/CAM trends of the modern world so that I can

excel in this field. GIST being an institute of international repute and advance research center in this field

can provide me with the required exposure of advancement in this field and also load me with the traits of

professional Modeling and Simulation Engineer.

I would like to work in MODELING AND SIMULATION LAB under Ko, Kwang Hee. Working under

him I will learn a lot and also I will be provided with the required tools and scenario to develop and test

my skills. Moreover, Industrial Design is among the topics of interest of this lab which also happens to

be my field of interest too so I can get a lot as well as contribute a lot to this research.
