Born in the heart of her country, San Salvador,

Alejandra was destined for success from a young

age. Her father was a successful businessman

who owned several companies, and her mother

dedicated the majority of her time to raising her

two children. “My mother is a very disciplined

person, and she taught us to have a strong will

and to always persevere,” says Alejandra. At 7

years of age she began to play volleyball, and by

the time she was 15 she found herself playing

for the Women’s National Volleyball Team in El

Salvador where she competed internationally.

That’s also where

she met her would be husband, Ovidio Villatoro, who played on the

National Men’s Team. In school she was dedicated to her studies and

graduated from high school with honors.

Later she went on to study at Escuela Superior de Economía y

Negocios, one of the top business schools in El Salvador, where

in business from the time she was a little girl. “I

wanted to be a big executive. I loved seeing those

business women that always portrayed a look of

confidence, intelligence and success,” she recalls.

During her 5 intense and demanding years at ESEN

she learned many valuable lessons that would

prepare her for a business experience that she

never imagined was heading her way.

When Alejandra first heard about Zrii, earlier

this year in January, she recognized an incredible

opportunity and didn’t hesitate to get in on the

action. At the time she was working for a large

cellular provider, but she just couldn’t pass up

the chance to create her own business and enjoy

a life without the limits of a set salary. From day

one she took the reins of her business alongside

her husband. Without any prior knowledge of the

industry and having an inexperienced enroller to

boot, Alejandra and Ovidio began from the ground

up by downloading all of the training materials

they could get their hands on and studying them in

detail. “After a few days we felt we had mastered

the trainings. We began to present to our friends

and family, and then helped them to duplicate

everything that we had learned,” she recalls. Her

enthusiasm and drive paid off right away as she

became the first in her country to shoot up to

4-Star in just 3 weeks.

Shortly thereafter her business reached a turning

point as she quickly grabbed the attention of top

performers in her upline. With their help, she

and Ovidio began blazing the path for Zrii to fully

take root in El Salvador. Seeing the examples of

other leaders gave them a true vision of where Zrii

could take them. It sure hasn’t been easy, but with

unmatched optimism they’ve been able to hurdle

obstacles and plow through adversity. “When we

began to work under the leadership and training

of IEs like Mony Farrach, Sarah Fernandez, Diego

Ordoñez and Andrea Herrera, that marked a

before and after moment for Zrii in El Salvador. We

will always be grateful for all the support that they

have given us,” she says.

When asked how she has been able to build a

10-Star business in such a short amount of time,

she attributes her success to adhering closely to

the Zrii system and the training provided by Zrii’s

top executives. “In El Salvador we’re currently in a

pioneering phase, and we pretty much started from

zero, with no national events, no local business or

product testimonials, and in the beginning our prospects were very

skeptical,” she says. However, through their conviction and with the

help of their faithful team members, Alejandra and Ovidio have helped

solve many problems and challenges associated with developing a

strong business in a young market. She says she simply chooses to

see opportunities where others see difficulties.

Today Alejandra is a 10-Star executive, along with her husband Ovidio

who recently achieved the same rank. Together with their 5-year-

old daughter, Daniella, and their beagle, Pinky, they enjoy living

Born for Network Marketing“I try to help people understand that the industrial

age is over, and network marketing is the smartest

business that they can develop,” says Federico

Sarmiento, one of Zrii’s newest 10-Stars from

Bogotá, colombia. And he should know, coming from

a family rich with successful business experience.

Federico’s dad is a pensioned civil engineer. His

mom is a pensioned physical therapist, and now a

9-Star member of his team! The youngest of four

siblings, Federico has had great examples to look up

to. His oldest sister, Juana, obtained a law degree,

and later opened her own consulting company with

her husband, Rodolfo. Federico’s brother, Pablo,

owns his own publishing company. His other sister,

catalina, lives in Paris and is an accomplished artist.

With such an incredible tradition of success running

through his veins, it’s no surprise that Federico has

had such amazing success with Zrii.

After finishing his studies at colegio Helvetia, a

private Swiss school in Bogotá, Federico went on

to study business

administration at universidad de Los Andes. Early on in his

studies he had a chance to do social work in a very poor Bogotá

neighborhood, where he learned that 30% of colombians are unable

to eat three meals a day and lack drinkable water. Saddened and

humbled by this situation in his country, Federico made a personal

commitment to make a difference: somehow he would create

a million jobs in his country. Years later, after starting several

companies, he now says, “I know that with Zrii

we can impact the lives of many more than just a

million people. It’s only a matter of time.”

Federico was first introduced to network marketing

at the age of 17. “I joined a network marketing

company and recruited nearly 100 of my school

mates. We didn’t have the correct variables for

success, but it was still a fun experience. My

yearbook is full of jokes about that experience,

and today I see those jokes as a prophecy that I

was born for network marketing.” Later on while

attending universidad de Los Andes, he gave

network marketing another shot with a different

company, and this time it was a different story.

In just a little over a year he saw great success,

earned a lot of money, and got to travel—but he

says the greatest benefit he received from that

experience was the inspiration to change the

focus of his thesis to network marketing. It was an

exceptional year where he studied the business

model, interviewed top colombian networkers, and

just flat out fell in love with the industry. Federico

was a man of no small reputation in network

marketing before he found Zrii. He often trained

groups of over 500 people and was a natural on

stage. But eventually his company was acquired

by another, and Federico decided not to continue.

For a time he turned his focus back to traditional

business, but soon became bored and decided

to turn once again to network marketing. After

narrowing down his choices to three companies, it

was the one and only Zrii that took the cake.

Accustomed to the luxuries associated with being

a top figure in network marketing, the growth of

Federico’s new business was fueled by his desire

to live the Zrii lifestyle. He recounts, “A moment

that I will never forget was the day I called my great

friend and mentor, Juan Fernando Mendoza, to tell

him that there were only 15 days left to qualify for

the upcoming Leadership Academy and I had still

not qualified. He just laughed and told me that he

had recently enrolled over 50 new people to qualify

himself. He also told me that I knew exactly what

I had to do, and that he would see me at the event.

I gave 100% for those 15 days and, to my great

satisfaction, qualified for the event.” Since then,

Federico hasn’t looked back, climbing to the top one

rank at a time and giving the credit to the incredible

people that surround him.

nephew, 8-year-old Santiago,

who each day asks his uncle and

to spend time with her while he does it. “My mom is a wonderful

example to me,” says Federico. “She never stops striving to achieve

her dreams.” He even finds time to give lectures to college students

on financial intelligence. “I love the receptiveness of young people

says. Amid dreams of traveling the world and owning a house on the

beach, Federico doesn’t forget about those around him who he can

help. He’s definitely on his way to the top, and he’s taking as many

people with him that he can.

You may recognize Phil Somerville from such

films as Zero Dark Thirty, Iron Man 3, and captain

Phillips. Thanks to smart phones and laptops, he

manages the growth of his Zrii business between

performing on movie sets and sailing off to exotic

ports of call in the Pacific.

How does his workday compare to yours?

“Today I surfed 15 foot waves for two hours, had

a break on my boat, answered a few calls, did a

three-way call, and then went back out for some

more action,” he says, smiling broadly.

Born and raised in Auckland, New Zealand, his father prospered

as the owner of a textile business and his mother achieved fame as

New Zealand’s top model. He grew up sailing and exploring the south

Pacific Islands and climbing iconic mountains, surrounded by natural

beauty and the cleanest ocean in the world. In school he excelled in

sports, math and English.

After graduating from Saint Kentigern college with a degree in

business management and marketing, he set out to follow his bliss.

“I dreamed of being an adventurer who had lots

of money so I could travel the world freely. I also

dreamed of owning a large boat and a plane so

I could take my friends along with me when we

traveled to the island I owned,” he recalls. “Some

of this is already coming true. I’m halfway there!”

When a champion athlete introduced Phil to Zrii, he

“To me, having children is the most amazing journey I’ve ever taken,”

says Phil. “I see myself fit and healthy, taking my boys on adventures

and playing all the games that these two will play. We will sail around

islands, fish, dive, work out in nature, golf, surf, and whatever we can

SUCCESS IS A MAGIC WORD, and I believe in it too.

When people are given the opportunity, almost all

will pursue some kind of success. But matching

opportunity with success is trickier than one might

suppose. If Bill Gates had had the opportunity to fill

Mother Teresa’s shoes, or vice versa, what would have

happened? We spend a lot of time testing out different choices,

walking down paths that don’t work out as we had hoped. Some people

wind up with a misfit existence, and then the possibility of the worst kind of

failure—being a failure in your own eyes—becomes a real possibility.

In India there’s a term for the life that leads a person to the right path of success:

dharma. The word comes from the Sanskrit verb “to uphold,” implying that the

universe will support you when you find the path that is right for you. How do

you know if you are in your dharma? It’s a delicate matter, because everyone is

complex enough that mind, personality, interests, education, and background

pull in different directions. Even in India, where the concept of dharma is

commonplace, the traditional way to follow your dharma was to do whatever your

family always did, whether it was making shoes, farming, or ruling a kingdom.

Modern life gives far more latitude for choice, and yet external opportunities, important as they are, don’t solve

the question of how to find your dharma. The whole issue quickly dissolves into confusion. We may ask, If the

universe or God or destiny wants me to live the best life, why doesn’t it send a sign I can follow? Actually, it

does. In the midst of everyday life, we constantly receive signals that will direct us towards the best existence.

Here are some of the positive signals that you’re on the right track:

n You welcome the next challenge and feel confident you can meet it.

n You enjoy what you’re doing.

n You feel freer today than you were a year ago.

n There’s a potential inside you that’s blossoming into reality.

For many generations, these signals didn’t pertain to the work a person did; they fit retirement. After holding

down a job that brought only a fraction of personal fulfillment, people looked forward to getting out of the

rat race and really living. However, it’s fair to say that most of us want everything on this list today, not

somewhere in our distant “golden years.” On the other hand, contrary forces still pull the other way.

Here are the negative signals that you aren’t on the path of fulfillment:

n You can't wait to go home from work.

n You feel underused and under-appreciated.

n You work for the paycheck.

n You find it hard to motivate yourself in your job.

n There’s pressure to conform, and you give in to the pressure.

n You don’t want to be here, but you can’t figure out how to leave.

n External burdens and duties severely limit your choices.

It’s obvious that we all want to move in a direction that increases positive signals

while eliminating the negative ones. Here are a few actions that will help:

n Respect your own feelings.

n Don’t accept the values and opinions of others—discover your own.

n Be open to change.

n Don’t define yourself by how much you earn.

n Associate with people you admire and who can teach you something.

n Express your aspirations instead of hiding them.

n Eliminate the behavior of a victim (gossiping, complaining, and listening to the voice of self-pity).

n Don’t coast or settle—keep exploring and trying new things.

On your journey to find your dharma and true

success, stay open to synchronicities and unexpected

opportunities. Life is a field of infinite possibilities, and

miracles are always unfolding if we only pay attention.

The long road to the world of business, utah, and

Zrii began as anything but a straight line. Originally

from chicago, a city of broad shoulders and bracing

winds off Lake Michigan, Dennis came by his strong

work ethic early being one of six children raised by

boys, he wanted to be a professional baseball player.

Talent and hard work paid off when he was awarded

a full baseball scholarship to california Western

university. While in school, he discovered another

recalls Dennis. “I saw many businesses flourish

and many fail. I believe I have a pretty good eye for

a successful business model.”

When he was introduced to Zrii, he performed due

Both traits are strongly engrained in Dennis’ character. To get on-

track, he advises practicing this morning ritual: Tell yourself you

are great and you are only getting better. Focus on your dreams. “In

this business we control our own destiny,” he says. “Our earnings

are measured by our efforts and by our team’s performance. The

more of our team members that we can help be successful, the more

successful we become. I love helping people who want to be helped.”

On a typical day, you’ll find Dennis working by phone. He calls it his main

tool. For him the day-to-day business revolves around this business

philosophy: Talk to some people and make some money. Talk to more

people and make more money. But talk to many people and keep doing it

daily, and you’ll make a fortune. Dennis always teaches his people that

one of the key aspects of talking to people is to be a good listener, too.

One of his most memorable moments in Zrii came when he traveled

to a Leadership Academy event in Bogota, colombia, in May of 2010.

“I will never forget how Mr. Farley met with over 2,000 colombians.

He was so sick from the chemotherapy he was receiving for his

cancer, and yet he still flew down to Bogota and ran the meeting

without anyone in the audience knowing that he was feeling so poorly.

That really impressed me. I will never forget Bill’s fortitude and his

dedication to the Zrii business.”

As he looks ahead to his goal of becoming a 10-Star, Dennis associates

with other goal oriented, positive people. He also remembers to express

gratitude and always give thanks. One of the blessings he always

DEFINING EXPERIENCE: I lived in Tegucigalpa, Honduras for two-years in missionary service. I saw a lot of people who didn’t have as much opportunity as me.
