Board Reports: Vice President

1. Please give a brief update on the projects and administrative task. you are

working on. Feel free to add rows/columns if necessary. As if right now we just finished collecting cans that we will be donating to a shelter. I am working with my community service committee member on putting together a sweater drive event. We as an eboard have also decided to have a general body meeting Wednesday, December 3rd. It will be a wings night.

2. What is your plan to help reach the club, towards their goals? My plans to reach the club to it's goal is to stress the fact that we need membership. And the members that we do have we need to make sure they are paying their dues. We can't do anything without members and members can't do anything without paying dues. I need to stay on top of my eboard members. I'm still trying to figure out exactly what I need to do to help the club, but I refuse to allow it to fail.

3. What communication have you had with other officers, and what have you helped out with to reach towards club goals?

I reach out to every single officer on the eboard. I am constantly reminding others of deadlines, making sure things are being done. But I also can't do it on my own.

4. What position(s) do you see needing to be filled “if any”, to help with the club? We just recently lost our membership chair. I do feel as this position needs to be filled, because we are lacking members. Membership plays a huge role in circle k. We also need a historian. Someone who is available and handy with a camera and very crafty to document everything Circle k is doing.

5. What are the three biggest struggles of the club as a whole? The first biggest struggle of circle k is lack of communication with board members. No one listens or responds to one another. The second struggle is membership and retention. And our third struggle is organization and accountability.

Committee Reports: Public Relations Chair

1. Please give a brief update on the projects and administrative task. you are

working on. Feel free to add rows/columns if necessary.

- Currently, I am contacting the people who signed up for my street team at the previous meeting. As of now I am planning on having a conference call with my street to promote CKI on Sunday. An idea I have to promote CKI is to chalk the campus.

2. What do you feel Circle K at Howard needs to do, to better reach all the schools?

- Communicate. We don’t communicate well with each other. If every

member one the E-board doesn’t know what is happening, then we are bound to fail. Therefore, if the e-board communicates better we can send effective messages out to the members of the club and other students on campus.

3. What communication have you had with other officers and what have you

helped out with to reach towards club goals?

- Currently, I am working with Miles, the Freshman Liaison. We want membership to increase.

4. What did you or do you plan to discuss at your next committee meeting? - n/a

5. What resources do you currently need?

-Chalk

Committee Reports: Service Chair

1. Please give a brief update on the projects and administrative task., you are

working on. Feel free to add rows/columns if necessary. I would like to have at least one in house service project before the semester ends. I would like it to be December 3,2014. Hopefully we can make Holiday cards to give to patients in hospitals (children’s hospital, veteran’s hospital) and nursing homes. And also write letters to Santa for Macy’s Believe Campaign (for each card, a $1 will be donated to the Make-A-Wish foundation.

2. What service ideas do you have for this year?

• Martha’s Table • Prepare meals for the homeless • Have a fundraiser to raise money for Playtime Project • Starlight Children’s Foundation Mid-Atlantic • Partner with the Green Team

3. How do you plan to encourage members to reach the 8 service hours per a

month goal?

We can make them aware of service they can do in the community with or without the club

4. What resources do you currently need?

Currently I need art supplies for next Wednesday in order to make cards to take the nursing homes and hospitals as well as the stationary for the letters to Santa printed.

Committee Reports: Fellowship Chair

1. Please give a brief update on the projects you are working on. Feel free to add

rows/columns if necessary.

Currently I have an event planned for Sunday at 3:00 to go see a movie . I also plan to organize some sort of Christmas social before we leave for thanksgiving.

2. How do you plan to increase fellowship among members? I plan on increasing fellowship among members with better promotion. I feel that if fellowship opportunities are promoted well and there are incentives to come such as food, more people will attend fellowship opportunities.

3. What are you short term plans in order to start your member of the month idea?

In order to have this idea come to fruition, we first need to have a completed list of paid members, but in the short time the member of the month will be the person who can bring us the most new members that pay their dues.

4. What resources do you currently need?

Right now, I need to be able to relay information to the Circle K members in order to let them know about events earlier.

Committee Reports: Freshman Liaison

1. Please give a brief update on the projects and administrative task., you are

working on. Feel free to add rows/columns if necessary. -I have gotten the word out to the 253 freshmen in the School of Business. I reached out to two other freshmen in Circle K who are in two other school in hopes that they will join in helping to spread the word. I have also reached out to ReActivate (School of Business Student Council) to talk about possibly partnering on a project next semester.

2. What do you feel Circle K at Howard needs to do, to better reach the freshman class? -The upperclassmen in the organization need to show their face at things like freshmen seminar and business orientation so they can see that the organization really is a great way to connect and network with people.

3. What communication have you had with other officers and what have you helped out with to reach towards club goals? -I have talked to Tylar about partnering with ReActivate and got her opinion on the situation. I also talked to Chelsea about helping with chalking to get the word about future meetings.

4. What resources do you currently need?

-I really just need help coming up with ideas to present to ReActivate if that’s something the club would like to pursue.

Capital District Report

Greetings! Past Board Meeting I’m really excited how things seemed to come together at that last board meeting. Sorry about being away for a minute. I’ve had to deal with some district events, but I’m back now until the end of the semester! I’m excited to see we are tying new things to improve the communication among us. These board reports will be very important and useful to see what great things we are doing. Monthly I get a report submitted to me by the secretary, that hasn’t seem to be reflecting what you guys are doing. Creating these books at least twice a month will help me understand how to better serve you. Past General Body Meeting I heard the no-sew blanket was a great in-house service project for you guys! I learned about that project during this past Large Scale Service Project in Nashville. It really is a personal project to be apart of. I’m very passionate about helping the homeless in D.C, which is why I plan to do this project a few times during the winter. I do not want you guys to feel as though, you have to do an in-house service project at every meeting. There are membership workshops, and fun actives that can place to help educate the members about the organization. Putting on an in-house project may be more challenging than going out to do service. It took me nearly 7 hours to get all the materials needed for it. But I am definitely happy it worked out. Important Dates • Dues Deadline December 1st • DCON Awards Deadline January17th • Eliminate Show Your Love Save a Life February • Club Elections 2 Weeks Before DCON • DCON February 19-21 We are half way into our terms, OMG! It’s important for us to stay motivated, and to continue to work towards our club goals. I’m really excited for the goals you guys have set, and I look forward as a member to do my best to be your #1 supporter. It is currently looking that the spring District Large Scale Service Project will be Lost IN DC, hosted by our division. This will likely be a few weeks after our term has ended, but I would like for you guys to support the incoming LT. Governor and me. Lastly I would like to welcome the new committee chairs. I am really happy to hear about your ideas. Please let me know if you need anything. Serving with love,

Allee Clark Allee Clark CDCKI Lt. Governor
