Introduction:

University of Education Okara3

Animal data and record keeping software facilitates the

documentation and tracking of information specific to the

animal cared by institutions. With program that specialized

in various aspects of animal record keep the medical zoo

and aquarium data at different links. These softwares

provides data about data of animal diversity, fossils and

many other aspects which gives us information and solve

our problems in communication.

Beast:

University of Education Okara4

Beast is a cross platform for Bayesian MCMC analysis of

molecular sequences. It is orientated towards rooted, time

measured phylogenies.

These are species phylogenies for molecular dating which

are based on population genetics.

PM 2000 Software:

University of Education Okara7

The PM2000 is a panel mounted, 4-place Intercom that

offers features that make this the Intercom of choice by

pilots who demand quality sound. This manual provides

information on the installation and operation of the

PM2000. Before installation read then it reduce the risk

of damage to the unit and maximize your enjoyment.

Zoo Risk

University of Education Okara8

Zoo Risk is a tool designed to help in the assessment of a

population’s risk of extinction due to the demographic, genetic, and

management processes that affect captive populations.

Zoo Risk allows the user to conduct two types of risk

assessments:

1. An in-depth single species assessment for an individual

population.

2. Comparative space and risk assessment for multiple species

that share similar space.

Hepatitis C Virus Software

University of Education Okara9

The effect of hepatitis C virus (HCV) genotype 1 subtype

on the response to treatment can be dramatic for some

direct antiviral agent (DAA) containing regimens (1-

9).This is the case of simeprevir, a DAA recently

approved for clinical use, that in combination with

pegylated interferon and ribavirin (peg-IFN/RBV) has a

lower rate of sustained virological response (SVR) for

subtype 1a than for 1b. Simeprevir plus peg-IFN/RBV

treatment achieves similar rates of SVR than peg-

IFN/RBV

Treatment in HCV-1a infected patients who present the

viral variation Q80K.

SPARKS

University of Education Okara10

Single Population Analysis and Records Keeping System (SPARKS), developed

by the International Species Information Systems (ISIS), is a DOS-based studbook

and species management software program whose data can be exported into

other population management software such as PM2000.

The data may be analyzed with SPARKS and may also be exported to other

scientific analysis packages such as PMX, PM2000, Lineage, MateRx and Zoo

Risk.

The functionality of this application will be included in later development cycles of

the ZIMS application.

University of Education Okara11

In addition to the information in SPARKS, in ZIMS, the

Zoological Information Management System created by ISIS

you are able to explore an interactive pedigree of any

individual animal or group. Now in ZIMS, in service of

population managers, there is a new report called the

Population Overview report that will provide regional or global

data aggregated on the species reported to ISIS.

Zoos, aquariums and other conservation organizations

worldwide will use the ZIMS application to track pertinent

information needed by their animal-care staff, including

collection management, husbandry, and health and disease

history.

Pop Link

University of Education Okara13

Pop Link was developed by the Lincoln Park Zoo, is a windows-based

software program that creates, maintains, analyzes, and exports studbook

databases for use in population management.

Pop Link may be used to view, edit, analyze and export data for use in

other population management software such as PM2000, and SPARKS. Pop

Link is owned and copyrighted by the Lincoln Park Zoo and distributed free

of charge for population management and research.

VORTEX

University of Education Okara14

Vortex, developed by Robert Lacy

(Chicago Zoological Society) is

population viability analysis (PVA)

software that is designed to

assess the risk of extinction for

threatened species based on

biology, demographic

stochasticity, environmental

variation, genetic change, and

management options. Vortex is

copyrighted but distributed at no

cost for conservation and

research purposes.

risk of extinction due to the demographic, genetic, and management processes that

affect captive populations.

Hepatitis C Virus Software: The medicines used to treat hepatitis C in clinical lab

technology is placed in this software for their record.

Vortex: Vortex is designed to assess the risk of extinction for threatened species

based on biology.

Conclusion:

University of Education Okara17

Zoology related soft wares help us to do

research related to zoology problems.

They all have their own independent uses, used

according to the requirement.

Two or more soft wares can b used together.
