Salam be upon You, O Daughter of the Chosen Prophet (saw) ��م عليك يا بنت الولي� المرتضى، ا�لس�

Salam be upon You, O Daughter of the Wali al Murtaza (asws) ��م هراء،الس� عليك يا بنت البتول الط�اهرة فاطمة الز�

Salam be upon You, O Daughter of Batool , al Tahira, Fatima al Zahra (sa) ��م عليك يا بنت خديجة الكبرى، الس�

Salam be upon You, O Daughter of Khadija al Kubra (sa) � �م عليك يا بنت خامس ا�صحاب الكساء،الس�

Salam be upon You, O Daughter of the Fifth of the People of the Cloak ماء، ��م عليك يا فلذة كبد المرمل بالد� الس�

Salam be upon You, O the one raised in Baitul Taqwa (house of piety) ��م عليك يا وليدة دار ا��باء، الس�

Salam be upon You, O one whose parents are of the highest esteem ��م عليك يا صغيرة ركن الهدى الس�

Salam be upon You, O small one of the Pillar of Guidance

��م عليك يا شهيدة الحزن و البكاءالس�

Salam be upon You, O martyr of grief and mourning بر على الب��ء ��م عليك يا قتيلة الص� الس�

Salam be upon You, O one who was patient while being martyred and who faced great adversities ��م عليك يا كثيرة ال و رحمة الل�ه و بركاته شجب و الن�داءالس�

Salam be upon You, O one who was persecuted while beseeching, may the mercy and blessings of Allah be upon You

Salam be upon You, O one who was mourning, grief-stricken, and lamenting �سيرة الـمنتحبة ��م على ا�� الس�

Salam be upon You, O the tearful imprisoned با ��م على اليتيمة عند الص� الس�

Salam be upon You, O orphaned child ��م على صاحبة الحزن العظيم الس�

Salam be upon You, O the one who grieved over the loss of the one who showered Her with great love and affection

لفقدها من هو بها ودود رحيم

��م على ذات القلب الكظيم الس�

Salam be upon You, O the one whose heart was overcome with grief ��م على ذات العين السكوبالس�

Salam be upon You, O the one whose eyes overflowed with tears و ا��نة ال�تي تقطع القلوب

and whose grief tears the hearts apart

بركاته و رحمة الل�ه و بما جرى في ارض الكروب بما تضافرت عليها الندوب

due to the series of atrocities which occurred upon her in the land of torment, may the mercy and blessings of Allah be upon Her

ياط لوعوها ��م على من بالس� الس�

Salam be on the one who was anguished and beaten ��م على المنحني ة على ا��جساد ال�تي صرعوهاالس�

Salam be on the one who bent over the bodies of the slain ��م على من عن الن�ياحة منعوها الس�

Salam be on the one whom was prevented from mourning and grieving ��م على ا��سيرة المقطوعة الس�

Salam be on the captive cut off from all allegiances ��م على المهضومة المفجوعة الس�

Salam be on the one who was distressed and aggrieved ��م على من حالها في شجب و عويل الس�

Salam be on the one whose condition was rebuking and lamenting ��م على من عمرها بعد المصاب قليل الس�

Salam be on the one who did live long after the atrocity ��م على من غاب عنها الحامي و الكفيل و رحمة الل�ه و بركاته الس�

Salam be on the one whose protector and guardian was removed, may the mercy and blessings of Allah be upon Her

س��مي لمن شهادتها بالنازلة الكبرى

My salam be upon the one who was martyred in the most atrocious of ways و حزني لمن مصيبتها فجيعة عظمى

I grieve over the one whose distress is such an enormous calamity ام حيث جن� عليها الظ��م تها ال�تي جمعت ول�ها و قد ا�دخلت خرابة الش� مع عم�

ياح و حيث سكنت من النواح ا��يتام و باتوا ملتمسين و هدا�ت ا�نفاس الحزن و الص�

باح ، و ندبت ا�باك و بدا منك الن�وح و ا��هتضام ي�ة من المنام ففزعتي يا رق الص�

وت الى� يزيد باشجى الك��م ا وصل الص� ا�مر بالط�شت و فيه راس )لعنه الل�ه ( فلم�

هيد، ديد،و بدا بالش و بيت ما كان يرمي و يريد، الش� ناويا تقطيع ماتة و الظ�لم الش�

خر و الحديد، ة قلبك بما يفت� الص� حينما راين فخيم الحزن على الن�سوة الهاشمي�

و قد بية،و صرت ا�نت تنظرين الى تاج العترة ا�� راس صاحب الغيرة و الحمي�ة،

ماء شيبته دهاك المنظر يا رقي�ة، و و تنكثت بالقضيب شفته و قد تسربلت بالد�

ماء شحبة من العطش وجتنه :حينما وجه ذاك الن�داء و قد شخصت عيناه الى� الس�

When the darkness enveloped Her, when She was held in the House of Ruin in Sham with Her Aunt who gathered the orphans around Her, when the mourners became silent, when the breaths of grief and lamentation grew quiet, when They spent the night waiting for the dawn, and You, O Ruqayya, became frightened while sleeping and you began mourning and lamenting the loss of Your Father in the most somber of ways. When the sound reached the accursed yazid (la) and he ordered the bowl containing the head of the Martyr to be brought. Keeing his thoughts of what he was about to do to himself, he (la) began expressing great joy over your afflictions, showing the greatness of his injustices. He wanted to cut Your heart to pieces by doing such a thing that would cause even the iron and stone to crumble. Anguish casts its shadow on the ladies who descended

from Hashim when they saw the head of the man of the piety and great courage. You kept looking upon the crown of dignity and the sight shook you, O Ruqayya, His beard was blood soaked, His lips hard pressed by the iron rod, and His cheeks dried by thirst, His eyes were transfixed on the

heavens as He recited this oration:

- - -الهي تركت الخلق طرا في هواك

و ايتمت العيال لكي ا�راك

- - -فلو قطعتني في الحب� اربا

ا مال الفؤاد الى سواك لم�

“O Lord I have been abandoned by all the creation when I loved You...,orphaned were my children so I may see You..., even if you were to cut me to pieces while I have love for You...,my heart still would not prefer anyone over You.”

��م على من لسان حالها يقطع القلوب الس�

Salam be on the one whose tongue cut the hearts to pieces ��م على صاحبة الخط�اب العجيب ا�بيك ا�با عبدالله لصاحب الخد� التريب الس�

��م،الحسين عليه الس�

Salam be on the one who delivered such a speech in defense of the One whose cheeks were disheveled by dust, Your Father , the Father of Abdullah , al Hussain (asws)

:حين ناديت

It was then You called out: يب العفيف ؟! يا ا�بتاه من خضب الش�

O Father (asws)! Who caused Your virtuous beard to be soaked with blood?

ريف؟ من قطع الن�حر الش�

Who severed Your holy neck?

من ايتمني على صغر سن�ي ؟

Who made Me an orphan even though I am still a young child?

.ا�حار فيما تبدينه من النشيج . . . .اليك يا رقي�ة ان�ي

To You, O Ruqayya (sa), I express my bewilderment...how can I describe Your weeping?

��م على من انكب�ت على راس ا�بيها شائقة، الس�

Salam be on the one anxiously fell on the Head of Her Father اها ضائقة، ��م على من حضنت راس حم� الس�

Salam be on the one whose agitated head was cradled ��م على من ا�حوالها عنها ناطقة، الس�

Salam be on the one whose condition spoke for Her ريف، اس الش� ��م على روحك الصاعدة بعد وقوعك على الر� الس�

Salam be on the one whose soul ascended after falling on the Sacred Head ير الحثيث، ��م على جوارحك الذابلة من الس� الس�

Salam be on the one whose awareness was devastated due to the nonstop marching

عة للجوارح المتحسرة ��م على الر�وح المود� الس�

Salam be on the departed soul as it left the fractured body ��م على الجسد المفارق للر�وح المتفطرة، الس�

Salam be on the soul that bid farewell to the mourning sounds ��م على من ابكت الن�ساء مصيبتها لهول ما را�وه منها و لعظم ما جرى عليها الس�

ء براس ا�بيها اليها حينما جي

Salam be on the one who caused the women to weep due to the horrific nature of what they had witnessed which happened to Her and caused her to mourn when Her Father’s head was brought before Her

��م :فقال ا��مام زين العابدين عليه الس�

Imam Zainul Abideen (asws) said: نيا ارفعوها ف ◌رفعوك، و اذا ا�نت . . . . . . . . . . .لقد فارقت روحها الد�

...ميتة

“Lift Her for Her soul has departed from this world...”..so they lifted You and You were no longer in this world...

��م على من زادت مصاب ال البيت الس�

Salam be on the one who deepened the atrocities of Ahlul Bayt (asws) ��م علىيك يا صاحبة الن�فس ا��بية الس�

Salam be on the dignified soul

��م عليك يا سليلة الحسين المسبي�ة الس�

Salam be upon You, O imprisoned descendant of Hussain (asws) دي�ة ��م على ابنة ا��نوار المحم� الس�

Salam be upon You, O Daughter of the Noors of the Family of Muhammad (saw) جرة العلوي�ة الفاطمية ��م عليك يا غصن الش� الس�

Salam be upon You, O Branch of the Tree descended from Ali (asws) and Fatima (sa) و رحمة الل�ه و بركاته يا رقي�ة ... يا صغيرة الحسين

O little one of Hussain (asws)...O Ruqayyah (sa) may the mercy and blessings of Allah be upon You

الحسين لقد عظمت مصائبنا بك يا ابنة

Our attrocities have intensified due to You, O Daughter of Hussain (aswS) خين، مع الس� و شخصت ا�عيننا اليك بالد�

Our tearfilled eyes are affixed on You

و شحبت الواننا بنشيج الواله الحزين

Our faces have become pale due to Our mourning over You

فين ل ا�مي�ة الظ�المين، و تكبدت قلوبنا من ا�سهم الحقد الد� ��

Our hearts have suffered because of the pointed, hidden animosity of the tyrannical Bani Ummayyah.

تندب ا��ل و بالزفرة و ا��نين، بالشوق و الحنين و تجمعت ا�رواحنا هنا بحضرتك

الط�اهرين،

With unease, devotion, lamenting, and mourning, Our souls have gathered here in Your presence to mourn the purified Ahlul Bayt (asws)

ة ا��كت و تشكو لوعة المصاب ة الفراق و عسرت العذاب ئابو شد� و و غص�

و حسن الماب بكثرة الثواب .. .و نرجوا من الل�ه بكم لنا عوضا حرارة ا��شتياق

ان ال�ذي لديك نسا�ل الل�ه بالش�

Filled with complaint regarding the suffering, the grief , the painfilled atrocity, the suffocation of the separation from the warmth of Your affections. We beseech Allah to reward with bountiful rewards and return us to Him in good standing because of our having been separated from You

ان� تكوني شفيعة و بالمقام ال�ذي تشرق منه انوارك و بالشرف ال�ذي بين يديك

من شيعتكم و محب�يكم و المضطر� الكسير و ال��ئذ المستجير للمذنب الحقير

يارات . . .بين الى� العليم البصير الت�ائ و يفلح باخرته با�ن ينال بكم تمام ثواب الز�

و هو بكم ان� رب�ي بما يشااء لطيف و غفران الخطيئات بمضاعفة المثوبات

و هو لكم رحيم رؤوف مجيب عطوف

We beseech Allah through the status which you enjoy with Him, through the honor which is before you, through the place from which your Noors illuminate, that you will intercede on behalf of the lowly sinner, the fugitive seeker of a safe haven, the heart-broken helpless supporter of yourselves, the repentant lover, who repents to Allah, the all-Knowing, the all-Seeing, so he may attain, through you, the perfect rewards of Ziyarats, so he may achieve success in his Hereafter when his rewards are doubled and sins forgiven, surely my Lord is most Gracious; surely He answers the pleas, and He is merciful, gracious

��م عليكم سادتي و رحمة الل�ه و بركاته و الس�

May the salam, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon You, Syedati

لتم المصاباشهد حيث قال سريع و ا�ن�كم ا�حياء بنص� الكتاب ا�ن�كم تحم�

:الحساب

I testify that you accepted whatever afflicted you, that you are alive according to the text of the

Book (Qur’an), where the One Who is swift in reckoning says,

)و �� تحسبن� ال�ذين قتلوا في سبيل الل�ه ا�مواتا بل ا�حياء عند رب�هم يرزقون (

Think not of those who are slain in Allah's way as dead. Nay, they live, finding their sustenance in the presence of their Lord; (Sura al Imran ayah 169)

د د و ال محم� ا�لل�هم� صل� على محم�

O Allah! Bless Muhammad (saw) and the Family of Muhammad (asws)

ان� في كرب��ء و بما جرى و بالنازلة الكبرى ا�لل�هم� ا�ن�ي ا�سا�لك بالمصيبة العظمى

د د و ال محم� و و تهب� لنا الظ��مات و ان� تقينا شر� ا��سواء تصل�ي على محم�

ينا على مجاهدة المنكرات تقو�

Lord! I beseech You through the means of the great calamity and the momentous affliction, to what went on in Kerbala, to bless Muhammad and the Progeny of Muhammad, and to spare us the ills of everything that is evil, to overlook our own injustices, to strengthen us so we may resist the committing of what You abhor!

ه اليك بصرعة رقي�ة اليتيمة ا�لل�هم� ا�نا و بتلك و بهاتيك الفاجعة العظيمة نتوج�

ديدة و جوارحها و بجاه روحها الط�اهرة و ما نزل بالعترة المجيدة لمصيبة الش�

ان� تقضي حاجاتنا و حاجات ضي�ة و بما هي عندك مر و ادمعها السخي�ة الصابرة

المؤمنين و المؤمنات

Lord! We direct ourselves to You through the shock that caused Ruqayya (sa) to depart from this world, the orphan, through the momentous atrocity, through the severe affliction, through the suffering of the glorified `Itra, through the pure soul of Sakina, persevering and generous tears, through her status with which pleases You…, to fulfill our needs and those of momineen (believing men) and mominaat (believing women)
