TRENDS SPRING/SUMMER 2020

Nonchalant trouser forms such as culottes, wide leg

and paper bag trousers will at last assert themselves in

summer 2020. Comfort is very important now. Techno

and jersey variations still hold their ground in step with

this feeling of being alive. Denims seem to have picked

up again and we are looking forward to new styles and

washes! Altogether more calm is entering into fashion.

A clear trend for reduction and minimalism is already

discernible.

COLOURS

Light, mineral colours, shell tones, stone and linen bring

calm to the impending summer collection. Soft neutrals

such as white in diverse shades, sand and nude tones,

as well as cognac, caramel and nougat shades are pi-

oneers for a more muted colour world.

All the same, more intense tones up to fluorescent col-

ours have to join in next season: Hello yellow – the es-

sential colour of summer splashes over in all nuances

on to trousers. The vitamin colours orange, mango and

pink complete the fruity colour dish. Miami Vice 2.0: soft

candy tones from melon over rose and lavender to mint

have a retro effect, but all the same a fresh one!

STYLES

Hey, it’s summer! The hot, loosely draping models such

Ideal to enter the modern trouser world are shortened,

wider trousers such as the culottes. Trousers with

ily sporting zips kindle the desire for adventure.

PRINTS

Let flowers talk – numerous flower prints bloom next

summer on all fabrics in happy but also in muted colour

combinations. Blossoms, colours, lightness: they make

summer fun! Maritime stripe patterns, chain prints and

foulard prints inspire to take beach walks. Toile de Jouy

motifs and tile patterns are seen as the top fashion

trend. Next season fashion is taking us on an exotic

trip around the globe. The trendy customer roams the

city wilds in large leaf and exotic flower prints in an

earthy colour world, as well as animals of each species.

But also leopards, zebras and the like make up a large

black/white topic. In addition, the nonchalant boho chic

exudes a small longing to see strange cultures. Lightly

draped palazzo trousers in mixture of patterns, batik

prints on shorts and cropped models create the hot

ethno style in no time at all. Geometric prints ensure a

creative look with rough edges with high contrast colour

combinations and clear lines. A clear style statement is

set next summer with rigid checks in fashionable colour

The savannah as inspiration: modern natural linen in

quiet plain colours or ethnically printed, also often in

the form of sequential patterns, is ideal for the new

casual trouser shapes. The material classic is seen as

guarantee for an effortless all day chic. Flowing trou-

ser shapes such as the flared come in sporty tencel/

linen blends. Whether plain coloured with wash effect,

batiked or fashionably striped, these trousers do step

along rather nonchalantly.

The jeans segment also demonstrates an easy look: here

new light denim is a winner - perfect for the new silhou-

ettes! Coloured denim in the fashion colours 2020 is

enhanced with beautiful subtle used effects. Printed with

an animal skin look, it is given the fashionable thrill. The

bi stretch programme is supplemented with a fashionable

superbleach and white. This fabric promises maximum

freedom of movement and a shaping power effect.
