About the Conference The Zealous Advocacy Conference, now in its 12th year, is an annual collaboration between the Center for Children, Law & Policy and the Southwest Juvenile Defender Center. The conference is the premier professional development training for juvenile public defense attorneys practicing in the Southwestern United States. CLE Hours We anticipate 13 hours with 3 ethics hours. The exact number is still pending State Bar of Texas approval. Registration Registration is offered at a discounted rate of $80.00 if registration occurs before April 26, 2013. After April 26, registration is $200.00. Parking is included. Online registration is also available at law.uh.edu/center4clp. Registration is free for University of Houston Law Center students. Conference Hotel Out-of-town attendees can take advantage of the special negotiated rate of $139.00 per night at the University of Houston Hilton Hotel (832-531-6300), located on the UH campus.
