Snakes are hard to see when they are hidden in a bush because they blend in with their surroundings.

A rough scaled snake’s poison goes straight to the nervous system and kills them in a matter of minutes.

Snakes take shelter in burrows that are abandoned. They may hide in prairie burrows or gofer burrows.

Elapids are some of the most feared snakes in the world. Their venom will kill you in a matter of seconds.

The Rough Scaled snake lives in the creeks and rivers of Queensland. When a prey pass they launch out and attack.

The amniotic egg isn’t fertilized by sperm, but is fertilized inside a female’s womb.

All snakes cannot hear very well so they use their tongue to sense their surroundings.
