In 1968 the footstep of Noman Group was established by putting a trading company in Dhaka as its first venture of business which eventually led the company turn into manufacturing of textile products in 1975 with a vision of contributing the founder’s true leader-ship for the well being towards the country’s economy.

From then on, the business was expanded and diversi-fied into many different manufacturing sectors of textile products. At present The Noman Group has become one of the largest textiles manufacturing entities in Bangladesh with its 25 companies all together of spinning of cotton and polycotton yarn, manufacturing of various synthetic fabric, mesh fabrics, warp knitting fabrics etc. Due to the diversifi-cation and the continuation of investing into these 25 companies, has given a chance to offer large number of employment opportunities and healthy contribution towards the country's economy. The group has currently given employment to 24000 people and the total turnover of the group in the year of 2010 was USD 580 million. Out of which, USD 290 million was from exports.

Zaber & Zubair Fabrics was incorporated in 1997 with a mission to grow up as an internationally recog-nized home textile manufacturing company, by meeting day to day’s market requirement and achieving customers’ satisfaction.

Zaber & Zubair has commenced its commercial production from March 2000.

The manufacturing process of Zaber & Zubair is vertically integrated with Spinning, Weaving Printing & Dyeing with complete Back Process including CAD Designing Studio, Sengeing & Desizing, Continuous Bleaching Plant and Stitching Unit

The mill is located at Tongi, near to Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh.

The company has invested around US$ 350 million to set up the state of the art machineries to meet the challenges of 21st century’s Textiles World.

The mill will have daily capacity of producing about 570,000 meters of finished fabrics or 110,000 sets of various home textile products including bed linens, window furnishings, table and kitchen linen in 2011.

Due to the true leadership of the Management, highly skilled expatiates from various countries and 7,000 dedicated and hard working employees; Zaber & Zubair has crossed over US$ 725 million of exports till 2010.

Attaining the required label of quality in our Textile Product and support services is an integral part of all our day to day activities and must remain the focus of our attention at the times. Each member of our team is accountable for ensuring conformance to our written procedures, and contributing towards continually improve-ment our overall performance.

We believe, opportunity for improvement is always there. Zaber is not only concentrated to improving its quality and service, the management also have the intension to improve and maintain international standards in working, social & environmental aspects in an acceptable level.

A dedicated compliance team, with close monitoring of management people maintains all the working conditions, social & environmental requirements of local authority as well as customers' code of conducts. Zaber maintains one of the largest ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant) of a capacity of approx. 360 m3 per hour with technical support from a European company to treat the entire used water of different chemical process.

As a result of the effort Zaber achieved recognition of many international bodies as well as customers' acceptance through third party audits. The remarkable achievement of the companies are :

At Zaber & Zubair the dyeing unit is completely integrated from back process to finishing. The set up of wide range of machineries facilitate us to produce finest solid colors fabrics from the ranges of light to medium and dark. The unit is well equipped to continuous process of fine quality high value products like sateen, dobby, jacquard, waffles, voiles, half panama, twill, duck in 100% cotton and poly cotton made from long staple fibers.

EXPANSION PLAN

With upto 2.8 meter width rotary printing machines of 12, 16, 20 & 26 color facilities & Flat Bed Printing, Zaber & Zubair prints on an average 235,000 meters in a day. All the machines are from Zimmer, Austria.

Guaranteed quality of fabrics is provided by an un-interrupted process flow backed by our state-of-the-art laboratory enforcing the strictest of quality standards.

With this printing facility, Zaber & Zubair is capable for both pigment & reactive prints in rotary & flat bed.

Z&Z is specially equipped to develop and produce embellished products like embroidered, piped, laced, pin tucks, appli-qué etc. Specially we are doing embroidery with our in house machines.

Embellishments

WINDOWS KITCHEN LINENSZaber & Zubair is into a wide range of window treatment. Apart from different type of curtain like Loop, Lined, Tab Top, Header Channel, Eyelet, we are producing different kind of embellished curtain as well i.e. embroidered, piped, laced and many other.

As a part of this, Zaber is producing specialized fabric for curtain. Half Panama, Slub yarn, Voile, Twill, Jacquard, Duck, higher count sateen and many type of heavier weight curtain fabrics are in range.

Apron, Oven Mit, Gloves, Pot Holder, Table Cloth, Place Mat, and Napkin is in regular product range.

Specialized fabrics are been woven and different fabric treatments are been arranged for this type of products.

SPINNINGOne of the strong spinning bases in the country equipped with brand new state of art machineries strongly back up the entire process. Well-organized spinning units have a capacity for constantly checking quality standard and a distinctive product variety.

The group has six spinning mills that contains 400,000 spindles and produces 210,000 kgs yarn daily.

Zaber & Zubair Fabrics has 1231 shuttle-less SULZER & 1835 Airjet looms. Wider width loom includes 320 dobby machines producing 570,000 meters of fabric in a day. This is one of the strength of the company and biggest among the similar trade throughout the country.

247 Air Jet looms are expected to be in operation by August 2012 that will add another 80,000 meters of fabric.

In total the mill will have the capacity of producing 650,000 meters of fabric per day by end of 2012.

With this strong backup of weaving unit, Zaber is capable to produce lower till higher thread count in plain & sateen weave fabric using single, double and four pick insertion, twill, half panama, voile & different types of dobby patterns.

Design Department of Zaber & Zubair Fabrics includes both CAD and Manual designing section with 7 CAD Stations, 2 Drum Plotter, 2 Auto Film Processors, Large format scanner & Laser Engraving.

An expert team of designers create the design with professional touch. Apart from that, Zaber & Zubair have a collection of their own designs. Keeping in mind the trends and changes of taste in different market; we buy designs from renowned International Studios to support our customers.
